“Great spot for a picnic, walk, boat, or bike ride”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Our 5 year old loved the swing sets and playground equipment in Goose Cove. We had the whole place to ourselves for a lovely picnic lunch in the shade overlooking the water. The planet walk was a nice surprise - and very educational. The facilities were nicely maintained as well. If we had a boat and/or bikes we could have stayed all day.

“This is one great place!”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

You can get a walking workout with the 5 mile walk around the lake, visit the fossil pit or just see the beauty of nature (deer, blue herons, chipmunks, etc.) and a wide variety of plants and trees. We've hiked all the State Parks in PA and although this is not a state park, it is one of our favorite places to walk

“Great Place for a Walk”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Whenever I am in town and run ragged from business, this is an excellent place to walk and let the stress fall away. There is an excellent path that circles the Reservoir. This hike is up and down hills and provides some variety but is not hard on the body. The entire path is about 5 miles and is very scenic and very quiet. There are shorter paths also. I love the variety of scenery from the reservoir to the hills and cornfields. Great time and even some exercise. Bring hiking shoes, if it has rained recently, sometimes the trail may be wet.
