“Come for the food.”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We stop at this diner at least once a month. Usually it's for breakfast, but we lunch there occasionally. The food is EXCELLENT. Part of our order was 'three eggs over medium'. Love said they were "Perfect". I've never heard him say that anywhere else in our travels. High praise from a very particular (or is that peculiar?) gentleman. We have had both good and poor service. Poor service seems to happen in the morning when there is a local event - simply not enough staff to keep up with the volume. Food is well worth the wait (and it always tastes better when you're hungry anyway). Prices are competitive.

“Poor Service sadly trumps good food”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

On a visit this past weekend for the Perseid meteor shower our family decided to give this diner a shot. From the outside it looks like a 1950's style diner car. Upon entering through the front door it was like felt like an authentic diner might have felt from that era, down to the small jukeboxes at the end of each table. Each one was out of order but still a nice idea.
We waited a good 5 minuted and no server or cook was visible so we looked around and noticed a back dining room with people in it, so we got up and went into the back, found our seat, and waited some more. The restaurant had a bunch of diners so we figured it should be a good experience or these people wouldn't keep coming back.
It took 10 minutes for a server to greet us, She gave us our menus and walked away... 10 minutes later she came back to get out drink and food order (yes , she did not get our drink order upon arrival) We order 3 Burgers and a kids appetizer platter figured it would be quick. The boys were getting hungry. Another 10 minutes pass before we get our drinks. We didn't see her again until our food was ready... another 25 minutes later. By then all of our drinks were empty, she didn't offer refills and was gone as soon as the food was delivered to our table. Didn't see her until the very end when she dropped off the bill. Quite possibly the worst service we have ever received.
The burgers themselves were pretty darn good and a good value being that they are a whopping 1/2 pound patties, and flavorful, as were our fries (which cost more as the burgers come with chips), The ambiance of the diner was geared toward families and there were a few there. Out of the 3 places we went during our mini vacation the food here was probably the second best we had.
It is quite possible that we just got the short end of the stick with the servers there. The other girls looked busy taking care of customers. Who knows the reason for her inability to give at least descent customer service but it totally ruined the experience.

“Training needed”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We've eaten at Fezz's a few times. Recently we took family from Georgia there to eat. They were in town for a family funeral. We arrived a few minutes after 2. They close at 3. There were 8 of us. The waitress seemed annoyed that we came in. A group of 3 came in after us. She basically threw the straws on the table. She only checked on us one time. At 2:45 she turned off some lights and at 3 she turned off the radio. I told her when I paid the bill (with a less than usual amount for a tip) that I thought it was rude that she turned everything off before all the customers were gone. The radio also was not playing any 50's music which is one reason to go to an oldies diner. It will be a long time before we return.

“AVOID THE FEMALES!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

The waitresses have been horrible in past visits. We visited last night and had a male waiter who was friendly and spoke to us not only about food but where we were from and seemed interested in knowing who he was waiting on. The food was delicious and we are looking forward to visiting again.

“Much Improvement Needed”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Being local, we have eaten here many times. While we used to enjoy the diner atmosphere and food, the diner has not been meeting up to our expectations for the last several visits. The service has been painfully slow right down to getting the bill or not getting a bill so we could finally leave. The food is not worth the wait as it is poorly cooked and almost inedible. (hard, greasy, rubbery eggs and black toast is one example) We will not be going back for a long time. Sad to have to write this review.
