I doubt that the Chef here has ever been to Italy. If he had been he'd know that they use sauce sparingly so it doesn't dominate the pasta/ meat or seafood. My veal picata & pasta was swimming in a sea of overly sour (possibly bottled) lemon sauce.
Dining out should be a relaxing experience, but the acoustics in the room made that difficult. The piano music, which should have been a nice touch, was impossibly loud. Everyone had to talk louder to compensate.
