It's beautiful and there is no fee to use the trails, picnic areas, or to enjoy its beauty. Great variety of trails ..from flat to not so flat. Trials are well marked. Take a walk and grab a burger at Cook Forest Cafe...it's summer at its finest !

Quiet, serene, majestic. GOD's handiwork is displayed in these silent tall trees. Due to the rains, the ground was quite soggy; however, our spirits were high.

Beautiful along the Clarion River. Picnic areas , playfields, trails. Rent a canoe or kayak and float down the river. Lots of people do even though it is not cheap to rent. Lots of odd shops near the park to explore.

7 of us stayed in the a river side cabin which comfortably fit everyone. We did not have running water or a toilet in ours however; the bathrooms and showering facilities were very, very clean. We was in during the week following Memorial day. Best I've seen and I've been camping at many of state parks. The cabin itself was AMAZING. You are truly in the heart of the forest (that means NO cell service *wink*). We took advantage of the hiking trails and Cook forest canoe. The Canoe people were very nice. Great with the young children. Same price and the Pale whale. But better canoes and awesome customer service.

A magnificent beauty in north central pa. I recommend the forest cathedral for a walk or hike. The trails are diverse and the whole area is breathtaking. A great example of what PA has to offer to outdoor enthusiasts.
