Cook Forest is a GREAT place to travel to. I have spent the weekend and I have gone for the day. I recomend packing a picnic and having lunch on the banks of the Clarion River, but there are many pavillions throughout the park that a wonderful as well. There are great places for go-kart racing, mini-golf, bumper boats, water slides, and many other things to do. Take a hike along one of the many trails, you will be glad that you did.

A nice isolated scenic place to camp. If you like wilderness, canoeing and roughing it. Good long weekend.

If you love the outdoors, you'll love Cook Forest, but stay out of the tacky commercial places that snuggle next to the park. Restaurants are modest even the best-known ones. The cabins are fun if you love building a fire and just being lazy. The Clarion River is beautiful and restful. I have been there in all 4 seasons.
