“Upscale Restaurant for Birthday Celebration”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

Easy to see why Blackfish has been awarded 50 Best in Philly Magazine. Excellent service staff ( welcoming, informative, not super friendly). Chef's tasting menu was chosen ( note: they prefer all or none at the table order the 5 course tasting menu.) BYO is great option. The food was varied and very visually appealing. Oysters with carbonated Meyer lemon juice! Beignets were special treat. Staff seemed professional and proud of their restaurant.

“Great tasting menu”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

My wife and i went here after a day at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Booked on Open table. Wish we had brought a bottle of wine. but the food and sservice were great. We had the 5 course tasting menu. Teh waitress quizzed us on likes and dislikes and the end result was excellent. Highly recommend this place

“Great Place to Celebrate a Special Occasion"”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We've been to this restaurant many times and keep coming back. Most recently we went for my parent's anniversary. We had a party of 6 and had the Tuesday night 4 course tasting menu.
The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and to be able to bring a great wine from your own wine cellar, is the icing on the cake.
Easy to find parking. Tables are close together, but not a big problem. Food prices are on the high side, but the tasting menu is well priced.
Overall this makes a great place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday.
We'll definitely be going back soon!!!!

“Lovely find in Conshohocken”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Excellent service, lovely setting, delicious food. What more could you ask for a Saturday evening out with family and/or friends? We made a reservation for seven but two couldn't make it at the last minute. The restaurant was very accommodating, even when we were 15 minutes late because of Schuylkill Expressway traffic. And what a lovely dinner we had. Lots of good choices for foodies (we ranged in age from 16 to 71) - fish and seafood, of course, but also duck, chicken, roasted bone marrow. The focus is on fresh, seafood, adventuresome. Named one of the best BYOB restaurants in the Philadelphia area, Blackfish is high on our list for a return visit.

“A Truly Special Dining Experience”
Reviewed February 14, 2012

We loved the atmosphere of this BYO; not stuffy like so many of the foodie spots. We were able to bring a special bottle of wine we had been saving. Service was perfect; helpful, attentive, really knew the menu, happy to make recommendations, professional yet down-to-earth. They recommend three courses, but we each got two and split a third and were satisfied (of course we also had dessert; the beignets with sides of cream and jelly-donut filling to dip in are ridiculously delicious). The food is fresh and though servings are smallish it was immensely satisfying. No one went away hungry. Our orders tended toward fish and seafood (scallops app, skate entree, etc.) though one friend ordered duck. Honestly, no one in our party had a single critique. Can't wait to go back! Bonus: free parking on street easy even on a Saturday night. The restaurant is pricey (though worth it), but you save on the wine and the parking!
