I ate a very good salmon salad on the porch overlooking the river. The desserts are also quite good. The setting makes the food that much better.

Outside tables on the wrap-around porch are a nice feature. Meal was tasty and fairly priced. Would recommend evening reservations during the weekend.

Terrific food, great service and wonderful location! If you can, sit outside so you can hear the water........what a great place to dine.

We went there at about 4:15 PM knowing that dinner started a 5. We thought that the beginning of dinner might be "softer" than it turned out to be, but that was very fair. We ordered two appetizers from the lunch menus: the Asiago Cheese spread and the grilled mushrooms with goat cheese. For the lunch entrée, we ordered: 1) the Salmon BLT 2) the Chicken Philly 3) the Fish Sandwich and 4) a chicken dish with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we ordered an order of the tiramisu and the Bourbon pecan pie. The service was excellent. We were served on the porch, but have been served inside and the quality of service is the same.

Every dish (with the exception of the grilled mushrooms) was simply excellent and the portions were more than adequate; in fact, two out of the four in our party took boxes home. The Asiago cheese spread was so interesting that we are plotting to see if there is any way that we can obtain the ingredients and the way it is put together, in other words, the recipe! The mushrooms cost this place a five star review!

Every last word on the menu was true. They were mushrooms; the were, most probably, grilled in wine; they were served with goat cheese. On the other hand, they were mushrooms that looked like they came out of a jar or can; there was a vague taste of wine which was identified by two of the people eating the mixture; there was certainly goat cheese there but it was rather unassociated with the mushroom dish and required mixing to even see if the taste worked.

On the whole, visit this place and visit frequently. It is great. Just avoid ordering the grilled mushroom appetizers.

The River's Edge is a wonderful venue, right on the river. Pleasant. Pastoral with a beautiful flower garden. We had the Talapia with lemon cucumber sauce, the Salmon, and Surf and Turf. The lemon cucumber sauce was unique and over-the-top outstanding. Delicious. They were out of the trout, very disappointing. The salmon was very good, perfectly cooked, with an excellent glaze. The filet was a good cut of meat, and well-prepared, but it was not special in its presentation or sauce. Service was slow. A table of 10 was seated before us and seemed to totally overwhelm the kitchen. We waited nearly an hour for our meal. I am hoping that was an anomaly. As others have said in their reviews, ask for Porch Seating...it is beautiful. If you are in Confluence, this is a must visit.
