This restaurant is very close to the GAP trail. Very easy to find and with excellent outdoor seating/patio area. The organic hamburger was fantastic and the beer selection impressive. You'll need to stop in this area, if heading down the path to Stepping Stone Farm B&B, as it is the last pace to get some real food.

“Nice surprise”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip to Falling Water. It was a perfect little place where we sat outdoors with a view of the adjacent river. The menu was varied but with a strong Mexican influence. All our food was freshly made and good quality - steak taco and chipotle chicken sandwich. Along with the sandwiches, they serve freshly fried potato chips which were excellent, but you can also opt for a fruit salad with a small extra charge. We had one of each - both great. They are only open from April to October with limited hours during the week, so it would be well to call them before going.

“when it's good, it's probably very good, but some dishes miss the mark”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

There is no doubt that this is one of the best stops on the GAP trail for cyclists. Lucky Dog is very conveniently located, has one of the more sophisticated menus for casual places in the region, and plenty of great out door seating. While the Earthly Delight wrap was excellently prepared, the chile rellenos were strangely off for a place with so much southwestern influence. With so much likely very tasty vegetarian options on the menu, this is also probably a highlight along the GAP for health conscious cyclists and diners. One mystery, however, was, why, given that the owners favor sound environmental stewardship, the Earth Day burrito would cost more than the burgers. Also, since this place may be popular on the weekends, they apparently run out of beer sometimes, which means you might have to go back out to purchase your own. The staff should reserve some extra beer, however, for cyclists, who in passing through, may not have the luxury to go out and procure their own.

“Good eats and a nice view!”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Lucky Dog is a little gem just off the GAP bike trail that I highly recommend stopping at. The service there is always friendly and helpful, although you may have a bit of a wait on a busy evening, as I imagine the kitchen is small. The food is worth the wait though. The salads are fresh, healthy, and tasty and have a variety of really interesting ingredients in them. There are several hand made pizzas to try (my favorite is the red grape) and the dough is pretty delicious. The best part about this place is the deck during the summer. They have live music on the weekends and its just a nice spot to get a good bite of food and relax after a long day on the river.

“Pleasant surprise! Great food!”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Stopped for lunch and really enjoyed it. Service was good and the food healthy and filling.

I ordered a salmon salad which was large and full with different kinds of lettuce and a variety of vegetables, and the salmon of course! It was delicious, healthy and filling – perfect! There were other options too, burgers, Mexican, pizzas… Hubby ordered a pizza which he enjoyed. I thought the menu was reasonably prices too, ranging $7-$18.

It was a rainy day so we sat inside but the outside area looked very nice for a warmer day. The inside was specious with simple décor and bright walls. I liked how the place is environment/health conscious with recycling and healthy options on the menu, and you can tell they love dogs!
