“Second time - even better than the first”

The first time I stayed here was with a group of cylists and it was a good experience. I liked it so much I came back as a couple getaway. The accommodations are nice, a charming old house on the main street in town. Breakfast was served family style promptly at the time stated, and we had the opportunity to meet others who were staying there. My companion had a special dietary need and it was accommodated with no problem. The owner took time to sit with us and talk. Every need and request was met. I would gladly return here and I recommend it to others.

We stayed in the 3rd floor suite during our week at the Confluence House B & B and loved it! Sandy fed us a gourmet breakfast every morning before we left for our day's adventure. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the claw foot bathtub for soaking at the end of our daily hike.
Sandy shared her extensive knowledge about the area and places of interest to visit, as well as the best eating places. She even made reservations for us at the River's Edge Cafe one evening. I would stay at her B & B again!

Stayed there one night in early Sept 2013. Nice place overall, good well-lit, clean and maintained rooms, sturdy bike rack in the closing garage, excellent filling breakfast in the morning. Will stay there again. Just 1 thing to remember: if you need WiFi - you have to explicitly ask your hostess for an access code.

Arranged through Mountainside Bike Tours. This a great stop while riding the GAP. Sandy is the owner & caterer. She was there to greet us, show us where to clean up outside and store our bikes. Had lovely sitting area outside in backyard of house. Offered us cold lemonaide and cookies, then showed us up to our rooms. Two couples staying on the 2nd floor in lovely antique appointed rooms. Floor has a community shower. Third floor is a “suite room” large bedroom area, separate sitting area and a separate single bedroom. The suite has it’s own bathroom, but no shower. Just a lovely old claw foot tub, so if you’re wanting a shower don’t ask for this room. There’s two old handled pots for you to have a “shower” the old fashion way.
Don't pass up having dinner here. Wow, Sandy really made us feel special. Dinner for the 6 of us was in the dining room, all formally set. PA wine was serve (which is surprisenly nice). The meal started with a cheese course, followed by a lovely seasonal salad, seared Salmon and fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Loved it! Outstanding breakfast prepared by Sandy, a fabulous cook. She'll make whatever you want (get the blueberry pancakes). Charming living room and dining room. Comfortable bedroom with private bath. Sandy made reservations for dinner on the porch at the River Edge which was delightful. We also were convenient to the Flight 93 Memorial. Delightful hosts who accept credit card and no minimum stays.

Biking in from Connellsville, the iced tea and quick breads waiting for us were much appreciated. Sandy accommodated our request for a private bath by not renting out the room which would have required sharing a bath. Bikes were secured in a locked garage. We made reservations at the Rivers Edge on the way, and enjoyed a pleasant walk through town for dinner there. Breakfast was bountiful and tasty, and served with a good bit of local information in answer to our various inquiries. We will return!

Very comfortable stop on the GAP. Nicely appointed room, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast, and superb hostess. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evening and listening to the passing trains. It would be nice if wifi was available.
