This was a great place to stop for the six of us (3 couples, ages 63 - 69) who were biking the Great Alleghany Passage. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the hospitality was excellent. Sandy, the owner, could not have been more helpful and welcoming when we arrived tired and sweaty from our day's biking. She happened to have cold beers to give us and let us get right into our rooms (although we arrived early afternoon). Sandy also has a catering business, so we had ordered dinner in advance (with many choices for the main course) and were treated to a delicious multi-course meal, which we suspect was probably far superior to anything we might have found in the town (although there are a couple of nice-looking restaurants in Confluence as well). We were very happy with our stay.
