“A perfect place to relax”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2008

Stunning location, a real hide away. We stayed for 4 nights and thought it was superb. we had our 2 children ages 12 and 13 with us and they really enjoyed relaxing by the pool and on the beach
The beach is excellent 6km of unspoilt sand with no more than a handful of people on it
The accommodation is first class traditional buildings and architecture combined with modern facilities
a little gem to recharge your batteries for a few days

  • Liked — the ambiance of the resort and the feeling of a quiet private place
  • Disliked — limited food options although the quality was OK

We've stayed (3 of us) for 2 pleasant nights. It was my first time and the best resort that I've ever been. The Modern Suite are great, where we spent our nights. The 'Modern' word doesn't mean modern, but I think it's just to distinguish from the Heritage Suite, which is a 100 years building. I'm a beach lover, and surely the secluded beach provide me a great pleasure. The staff told me that 90% of the customers are the outsiders, Malaysians like us are hardly check-in here..... It has only 20 units chalet (Superior Chalet, Deluxe Chalet, Modern Suite & Heritage Suite), so the area is not crowded.

This resort is not suitable for travelers with small kids but it suits well for honeymooners, lovers and those who are need some relaxing places with an amazing beach.

We have been planning for a break for sometime, as it was difficult to gather everyone together at the same time. The Seven of us, spent 4 nights in Aryani.

Ideal place for families that want to experience each other, spend time with each other, families with children if you want to be with them all the time, its fine otherwise children can get bored. Pool is safe only if you are they are accompanied.

Asesome place for couples, quiet, secluded, private beach, great for walks and sunsets.

Rooms, we stayed in the deluxe rooms and it was great, there is a small mini outdoor tub, good for chillin for kids and couples,

Restaurant - Food is great here, for both local and internatinal cuisine. Neatly priced.

Staff - Great staff, we had pre booked meals for our Bf/lunch and dinner, 2nd day we rented a car for a ride around the KT city, we missed lunch, the F&B staff made up for our team break...truly awesome, unlike other hotels we have been they are not bothered.

As there are only 20 chalets, its private and staffs would also know your preferences and likings.

The local delicacies (free every evening) is truly sweet.

Herritage spa, massage and body treatment were really impressive.

No mosquito bits whatsoever.

TV program could be better, only selected rooms have satelit dish and connecting rooms.

Housekeeping staffs always kept the room and surrounding tidy, sheets were cleaned everyday.

Bathrooms are CLEAN.

This place are mostly visited by foreigners as the locals might feels that its pricey....BUT we got what we wanted!!!

Time stands still here. There are wide open skies, a clean quiet beach, and a real sense of peace. There is no piped in muzak, no hordes of tourists. This is a silent space; only the waves crashing against the shore and the wind among the coconut trees. It is so quiet in fact, that you can almost hear the sun shining.

This place is not for you if you like the sanitised 5-star experience. While this hotel is indeed beautiful, it is situated within a working ecosystem, so there are insects of every kind, neighbourhood goats, birds, etc. We found it wonderful. Some may find it off-putting.
This place is also not for you if you like meeting new people, if you like energy/movement, if you want a bar/night scene, etc. This place is perfect if you want to reconnect with your partner, if you want to hear yourself think, or if you want to NOT think at all.
This place is not for you if you are concerned with your manicure. I broke a couple of nails struggling with the sliding doors that don't work very efficiently.

This place feels like a forgotten palace, a royal holiday home that's been abandoned for 6 months. However, I suspect that this is a deliberate decision. For example, while the bali-inspired perimeter wall has been left weathered, the walls of the chalets themselves are regularly repainted (we saw staff repainting a chalet that hardly needed repainting, applying a coat of varnish onto wooden bannisters at the lobby, etc).

We can't recommend this place highly enough. We intended to stay 2 nights but extended for a 3rd night, we loved it so much. If you are looking for a place where the beach is clean, where you will hardly see anyone else, and where nothing is more important than watching the waves come in, then this is the place for you. We are definitely coming back here!
