Granted, I am not a skier but I did not go to this place at the time of year to do it. I find that the place is so spread out that you need a GPS to find your way. We were with a group that booked about 150 rooms for 2 nights. We had meetings etc going on all day. On the last day, the meetings were scheduled to go till 4 PM but check out was at 11 AM. The hotel was not full, it ws basically empty except for our group. They would only extend the check out until 12 unless we wanted to pay $75 to stay in the room until 4 PM. I feel that they nickle & dime you. The whirl pools have an additioal charge to use them and when we booked they never told us that the indoor pool would be closed for maintenance while we were there. Prices for the SPA doubled in 2 years. This was the second time we went there and I am very disappointed. Would never go back again.

My husband & I went for Autumnfest weekend (10.23-25.2009) & had the best time! We came to see fall foliage & it was well worth it.

The resort was beautiful & the service impeccable. We stayed at the Swiss Mountain Condos & enjoyed their prompt shuttle service back to the Main Lodge. We found their staff to be accommodating & very friendly. We dined at Timbers both nights & very much enjoyed the food & presentation (& their house Cabernet wasn't half bad either). We had the complimentary breakfast buffet both days & can honestly say it's more than ample & very tasty. We never did get around to the Bavarian Buffet that was also included in our package but if breakfast was any indication, it's another fabulous experience.

Swiss Mountain was absolutely quiet and had it not been for the rain & wind we'd planned on walking the trail back to the lodge. We're thinking of trying The Villages for our next stay. This is definitely a resort we'll return to in the future, especially when we've had enough of the city & need a break. We had a great time. :D

While Seven Springs is beautiful, great atmosphere, and lots to do, the food is another issue. My husband and I had dinner in the Slopeside restaurant. I got the seafood buffet, he ordered from the menu. The buffet was fine, but not what I expected for the price. My husband ordered a grill roasted hearts of romaine salad. The romaine came out burnt. He ordered pork chops for his entree. The chops were cold and when he cut them open, they were undercooked. Pork, of all things to be undercooked! The waiter was freindly and sent them back. They then came back burnt. I tasted a piece and was taking out bits of charred pork out of my mouth. The chefs couldnt get the chops to a happy medium. We didnt have to pay for his meal and the manager comped us our bottle of wine. Fine, but husband was hungry. Went to the Bavarian Lounge where he ordered a simple pepperoni pizza, or so we thought. The crust came out as thin as paper, and was severely undercooked. It tasted like yeast. The bar tender ordered him another which was better. The dough at least had risen and was not like paper. The next day, we ordered brats with sauerkraut at the Foggy Goggle. While the brats were good, the sauerkraut tasted as if it was taken straight from the bag or can and wasnt even warm, let alone cooked. We were so disappointed. The food is pricey and needs to be top quality at a top quality resort.

My family was looking for a place to stay, close to whitewater rafting. Wow what a great value Seven springs offers...for Labor Day weekend. 2 Adults/2 kids plus breakfast, a dinner and a ton of things to do...for $400.00. You can't beat it! We all had a great time. Our room was nice with a great view! The breakfast was wonderful. On Saturday night, they offered a hayride for just $6.00 a piece to go up to the top of the mountain to enjoy a huge bon fire, which included hot dogs and smores while we watched the firework show at eye level...what a wonderful time had by all. My family had a great time on the Alpine slide..can't wait to swim in the new outdoor pool. We have planned our second annual "end of the summer" trip to Seven spings again this year. I
