The nicely furnished updated room faced the slope and was quite nice, though there was noise from other rooms (people, pipes, etc.).

The staff appeared to be poorly trained. The first lady at the front desk appeared upset that I wanted to check-in, because it took her away from a gossip session. Then she promptly gave me a room number and key. Upon going up to the room, my wife, baby, and me quickly discovered that the room was already occupied. I had to return to the front desk. I spoke to the supervisor this time and she gave me another room, but did not apologize. She didn't seem surprised that this occurred.

The breakfast buffet was mediocre at best.

This is a great ski resort for families.

In addition to good skiing, there is plenty to do - bowling, indoor pool, arcade, shopping, snow tubing, snowmobile rides, etc.

We stayed in the main (10 story) hotel. The rooms are recently updated and attractive. The beds are comfortable. The food at the restaurants is surprisingly good, and fairly priced. Prices in the shops are surprisingly fair for a resort. There are plenty of bars for adults.

The common areas are a little dated, yet still attractive. This is part of its charm. If you want a brand new, high dollar ski resort experience, spend the money and fly to Colorado.

The place is HUGE - we were there on one of the busiest weekends of the year - cars parked everywhere, and the slopes weren't too crowded. They have a LOT of ski runs.

The hotel advertises that they're rated the #1 ski resort in the Mid Atlantic region, and one of the top 5 for family activities in the U.S.

We agree. We REALLY enjoyed Seven Springs, and will go back.

condos: dated - cheap sheets - cheap comforters - blankets with cigarett burns- cheap towels - old furniture - cheap - price expensive

food: fried - choices are bar food - diner food - pizza or a buffet that is really an upscale cafeteria - every restaraunt that serves alcohol smells like smoke, even when empty - most decent meals can be found at helens which has great atmosphere but the food isn't great -

staff - friendly and helpful

spa - great spa - friendly attentive

gym - as with the rest of the place is in desparate need of update

go for the day but don't pay to stay

until the requisite updates are made this place is a big thumbs down - i grew up going there and can honestly say nothing has changed since 1987 except that they have wireless (which is spotty)

Stayed in a hotel tower room during the height of ski season. Rooms are in good shape and fairly well maintained. No fridge, no room service. Breakfast buffet is a fairly quick option. Can be loud at night as this is a popular spot for large groups. Service throughout the hotel was above average. Lots for kids to do in the evening. Ours really enjoyed a horse drawn sleigh ride from the stable located on the resort property. Kids ski school is well-run with friendly young instructors.

Be aware that this is a very large resort serving not only those staying at the lodge, condos, and townhouses at the resort but also the surrounding properties and day trippers. Beginner and some intermediate slopes are dangerously crowded and the lifts servicing those runs may have long waits. However, there are sufficient options for more advanced skiers to avoid the crowds and still have some diversity. Check out at the lodge on Sunday morning was more time consuming than I would have liked due to crowds, slow elevators, and parking (Sunday was a powder day when we were there making it especially frustrating). My advice is to pack efficiently so that you can be sure to carry everything in one trip.

This is the 4th time I have stayed at Sevin Spring. We take a white rafting trip every other year and all four time we have stayed at Seven Springs. Obviosuly I'm a big fan of the resort or we wouldn't have returned.

We have had anywhere from 16 people to 45 accompany us on our rafting trip and we have stayed in a varitey of accomadations ranging from the dormatories, large chalets and Deer Lane. The large chalets have suited are large groups very well. The downstairs had a large kitchen with all the amenties your home would provide along with a living area with TV. The upstair had three bathrooms and a bunch of bunk beds. On this part trip we were able to get tow chalets located next to each other. It worked out perfect for a bunch of late 20 and early thirty years old looking for a weekend of white water rafting and a little bit of relaxing with few drinks.

All four times we have taken advantage and used the pools and hot tubs, they have both pools inside and outside. Also, there is a golf course there, I have never used it, but friends did this past trip and they had good things to say bout it. The restaurants on property are very serviceable and the pizaa is excellent.

I'm looking into planning a trip back this winter to ski.

We stayed at Seven Springs the 3rd weekend of Feb. We have never skied in this part of Pennsylvania before going to Seven Springs. I did not even know there was skiing out there. This was a stop on our road trip to go visit family in the mid-west and we thought this would help break up the long drive from NYC.

The resort is BIG! The staff was so friendly. We were there to ski and the conditions were pretty good and the lift lines were not that long at all plus everyone was so polite! I’m a green/blue skier and my husband is a black diamond and there was a good mix to keep us occupied. They also had night skiing, so that was a plus for when we arrived our first day. The rooms were decent and clean for a ski lodge. As I have begun to notice with other ski lodges the walls are paper-thin. My husband thought the log-cabin ceiling look in the room was a nice touch. The resort was totally a la carte, which was fine for us. We paid for what we wanted to do. We went bowling one night, and another night we hung out at the pub. It was very convenient to walk outside the resort and put your skis on and hit the slopes. It was also very convenient to not carry cash or credit cards with us, because we were able to bill everything to the room. The pool looked very nice, but we did not think we would have had time for swimming, so we did not have our suits. Overall for a ski resort it was nice and had lots of extras and if you have children there would be a MILLION things for them to do.
