“wonderful inn with a big issue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2012

the inn was beautiful. gorgeous woodwork. quiet. absolutely one of the most immaculate places that we had ever stayed. The bedroom was small, but pretty. The bathroom was beautiful. Unfortunately, was not told (and neither was the other couple) that the attic rooms do not have bathroom doors. one room had a small commode room with a cheap louver door. the other room had absolutely no door. the lack of privacy, was embarrassing, In addition, when one uses the bathroom at night the light shines into the bedroom. people should be told ahead of time. NEVER ever would have stayed at a B&B with no bathroom door. one couple had to arrange times between them to use the bathroom. it's a shame. for such a small amount of money putting a door on a bathroom should be a no brainer. Truly unfortunate as the inn, as I said, was quite lovely. Also would have been nice to have even one more choice at breakfast. If you didn't care for what was served, no other option was offered. Hard to rate this one as the inn was really nice, but the "no door" issue is a deal breaker.

Room Tip: don't know if other rooms have bathroom doors.

We stayed at the inn for our two year anniversary and loved everything from the location on the hill with the beautiful creek behind the house, to the friendly owners Fran and Lew, to the delicious breakfast, and gorgeous room! Our stay was absolutely perfect. Fran and Lew gave us great recommendations for dinner in the area and were fun and easy to talk to. The inn is emaculately clean and has a wrap around porch, multiple reading rooms on the first floor, back stone patio and a stunning wide staircase. I highly recommend the Inn at Ragged Edge for any special weekend away. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. When arriving we were welcome by the inn keepers with wine, fruit and cheese platter and chocolates. We were taken up to the honeymoon suite. Our first impression of the in was awe. Set on a historic property the inn was recently renovated by the owners. The details of the woodwork throughout the in was breath taking from the expansive staircases made out of chestnut to the mahogany in the dining room from Africa. The room is immaculate. Not an speck of dirt. There were always beverages and snacks available in the common area. We enjoyed our time sittin on the porches with a glass of wine or by the creek in the andoranck chairs reading a book . Breakfast was amazing, cooked and served each morning by the lovely inn keepers. No detail was left untouched. We will be back again for another visit. Best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at the Inn at Ragged Edge March 2-4, 2012. The Inn is huge and absolutely beautiful! It was built by Frank Furness (famous Philadelphia architect) in 1900. The inn sits on top of a hill with views of woods and a stream out back. I bet the view is stunning in spring/summer with everything in bloom. Lew and Fran are terrific hosts! They always had coffee and hot water available for tea and also provided soft drinks and snacks in a sitting room on one of the upper floors. We stayed in The Lodge, which consisted of a sitting room and a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds. It was perfect for us. The room also had a flat screen tv w/DVD player. From what I understand, some of the other rooms have fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs! I can't wait to go back and stay in another one of their gorgeous rooms with my husband. Breakfast both mornings was wonderful. Location was great too - only 1 mile from Rt 30 where you can find all kinds of restaurants and shops. This is a real gem!

We really felt welcomed and at home, the owners Fran and Lew are very nice people.
The room was a bit small, but nice and quite which is must. I just love the jacuzzi tub.
There was a very cute reading room with fridge full of drinks and snacks.
We can't wait to go back!
