This was our second visit to this nice B&B, which is located halfway on a trip we make a lot. We were the only guests, and were treated like royalty. We asked for a couple of cups to make tea, and were treated to an entire tea service! Beds were very comfortable. There is virtually no street noise afer 9pm. Breakfast was excellent.

We had been looking for a place to stay which would be about half way between North Carolina and New York. Since we prefer a bed and breakfast, we tried the Craig. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. After an excellent breakfast, we continued our trip. We enjoyed talking to the hosts and will probably stay here again.

We were just passing by Chambersburg on I-81 one weekday and wanted a break from the chain motels, so chose this place. It worked out well for us. We were the only people there so it didn't matter that we didn't have a private bathroom. The woman who runs the place is a salt-of-the-earth type which we appreciated quite a lot. The breakfast food seemed to emphasize quantity over quality. She gave us some bread her husband had baked to take with us which was very thoughtful. Evidently her husband is a better cook than she is. The house is huge and rambling. It felt luxurious to have the place to ourselves.

I booked this B & B to attend a Women and the Civil War conference at Wilson College which is in walking distance, on the same street as this property. The conference hotel was located 2 miles from the college, by the expressway. This was the best option I could have found because it went right along with the historical aspects of Chambersburg which we were concentrating on. This being a property built in 1881, still in the victorian era. It was very conducive to placing oneself in the Victorian era mindset.

The property was decorated with Victorian furnishings throughout. The breakfast was delicious and filling and served at a time of our choosing. Delicious fresh fruit every morning. We were there three nights and had a different delicious homecooked meal every morning. The room was comfortable and lovingly appointed. We had a separate sitting area and our own exit/entrance door which could be used...or one could come in through the front door. The owners had chips water and soda waiting cold in the refridgerator. They had a friendly and cute dog named Harry. I enjoyed his company...and I'm not even a dog person. My husband and I both had a relaxing weekend here.

This is certainly a great place to stay while getting acquanted with the role of Chambersburg, PA during the civil war. Be sure to visit the Old Jail and the Heritage Center.

My fiance and I loved this place and especially the owners, Roger and Barbara. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite, complete with our own back porch and it was a better price than the nearby chain hotels which certainly can't even compare to this fabulous experience. The rooms are spectacular, I felt like I was in a scene from Gone with the Wind! The breakfasts were outstanding..complete with lovely music and candlelight in a gorgeous dining room. We can't say enough about the Shultz Victorian Mansion...we plan to return asap! Deb and Lew

We had such a great time-very warm and inviting atmosphere. It is a truly romantic experience-we got lost in our own little world while we were there.
