The food was good but the potions small - great mushroom appetizer there.

Very lovely place - felt like I was in California or another locale. Light and airy, service was great, food was delicious and love that you can BYOB!

We stopped in after a suggestion from our B&B host (Laura from Fairville Inn), and we're really pleased that we did.

We had a rather late seating (8:30), so I think the noisy crowd had pretty much died down, and it allowed our server, Devon, to have a few extra moments to chat with us. We all started with a soup (including a very nice mushroom soup), with no complaints. Three of our group of four had the fettucccine bolognese, and I had the fire roasted chicken breast. Again everything was very good, and we all enjoyed our meals.

One thing that blew us away was the Friday special: 1/2 price bottles of wine. Believe me, the wine prices are already pretty good here, with nowhere near the ridiculous markup I've seen at other places. Then offering them at half price? Outstanding! We had two bottles, including a very good one from a (very) local winery, for $15 less than what we would have paid at the winery. Amazing!

To top it all off, our server, Devon, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. She was the icing on the cake! And she had plenty of friendly help from others on the floor. It's always encouraging to find a wait staff that really give a darn about what they do. Kudos to Bistro!

It's been several days since we visited Bistro, and we're still all vowing to return. See you next time we're in town!
