The parking was a little bit of a problem, but the short walk was well worth it! The food is wonderful here, drinks were good too. I had Shepards Pie and it was one of the few places in the area that carries this dish year round. The Market Cross Pub did not disappoint!

We love this place for the laid back attitude and the ambiance. The food is pretty good, too! They do have bands sometimes, if that's your thing.

We enjoyed the pub atmosphere and the beer selection was good. The restaurant was not busy on a Sunday so we were surprised by the slow service. I got a crab cake sandwich that was pretty tasty. My husband got the Lord Stafford crab plate that was okay but nothing exceptional. Still overall, we'd much rather eat here than at some chain restaurant. I would go back.

The menu is old and not very exciting. Too many items on the menu so poor consistency. Tries to pass itself as an English pub but serves frozen fries with the fish and chips. The fish was cod, will give them that. A lot of the fried food is burned and they should change the oil more frequently. Wings are pretty good especially on Sundays with a $4.99 a dozen special. One of the few places around that serves cask conditioned beer, but calll ahead as it is more off than on.

Went on the suggestion of our hotel with a 10% coupon. The hotel room we had was facing the highway and I Really wantes a glass of merlot, any brand, to take the edge off of the 6 hour drive and bad night sleep ahead of us.
250 brands of beer, BYOWine...
The food was moderate, nothing bad but nothing tasty. I had the crab ravioli in alfredo sauce. It came with an average salad, and blah piece of garlic bread that should'vebeen toasted for more flavor. The other folks at my table had the same reaction to thier food.
The waitress also had a table of about 20, including 5 or 6 little kids, one who tipped his galss of juice over. I give credit to the owner for getting the mess - including the floor - cleaned up in record time.
Other than that, it was ok.
