Let me start with the positive...This is an absolutely beautiful campground. The grounds are very well kept and are in immaculate condition. The outbuildings are pristine and the pool and laundry area are as well. The maintenance and lawn care staff were very friendly. My husband and I stayed here twice. We passed through the area and stayed for two nights, then again a week later for two nights again.
They have a 'rule' that you must call if you are not going to be there by 4pm or they 'will not hold a spot for you'. We found this rule to be an added burden to an already busy day of full travel each day that we had to do this (and had never heard of it had any other campground we'd stayed at) - as we were trying to concentrate on our travel and other tasks at hand......Note - upon arrival there were many, many, many empty sites....no clue why this 'rule' exists - my guess is to make someone's job easier - certainly not the travelers.....
During our first visit - there was a seasonal camper who had removed one of the wheels from his pick up truck and was continuously pounding away working on his ball joints and tie rods. This continuous pounding went on until almost 9pm...........We woke up to it the following morning at 8am.......(not a good way to start the day - BUT we never complained.....just thought...okie dokie...)
Ok, hate to even have to talk about this but.....the office staff. I am an adult BUT - I don't feel like I should have to go someplace on vacation and have to play "kiil 'em with kindness" well....the whole time I had to deal with the office here (phone, in person, etc.) I felt that way. These women were very short, rude, and curt each time you dealt with them. Immediately at check in - it was as though you were 'interrupting'.
Maybe they have all been 'seasonal' too long and forget what it is like to travel all day and how nice it is to see a friendly smile or hear a friendly voice after a long journey - who knows....BUT you will not get that here unless the owners bring in a customer service professional to refresh this crew, or..........bring in some new blood.
(ie) On our second visit I stopped into the office for bread......when I was there I asked the women in the office about cable. On our first visit there was a cable attached to our electrical panel, when we hooked up to it we got 3 channels (it was better than nothing). When I told her that we didn't have a cable at our new site - she grunted at me and said I didn't have one at our last site either and said "it must have been an Act of God that I got it last time because we don't have cable here!"........ok......then I asked her if there was a service I could pay for to get internet....she told me it was free and how to get it. (I knew nothing about that - in our first visit I was never even informed of it) Anyway, when I walked out of the office two seasonal campers who overheard followed me to my previous site so I could prove that I had cable during my previous visit......(?) Apparently it had been previously occupied by a seasonal who never had Comcast remove the cable.........long story I know...but you get the point.
OH did I tell you that during our 2nd trip the guy doing the ball joints and tie rods had his OTHER wheel off and the pounding began again??..........I digress.....
Last story.......My husband was rinsing off our white truck (just rinsing) because in their trees there are these cherry/berry things that fall and leave a red stain when they drop - when a golf cart went by and backed up....a man was driving with a woman and she said "I work in the office and we do not allow car washing in this campground" - my husband said "I'm sorry ma'am".......her reply to that was "As of now it is TERMINATED!". Again....okie....dokie (my husband is 68 years old......do you really think it was necessary to speak to him like that.) By now we couldn't help but just laugh.
I will tell you that in the rules it does say - No washing of RV's or cars - technically a quick rinse applies too I guess. BUT - right below it, it also says..................No major vehicle repairs...........
All that said (getting off the soap box now) - if you are looking for warm and fuzzy - or, a place to just feel comfortable when you are traveling.......ehhhhh.
This place is all about the seasonal campers. Even the seasonal campers were not very friendly - We were like an intrusion........(sorry, hate to say that about other campers.) It's a sad day when people forget. We are supposed to be a community - and still are. Don't get me wrong I'm not looking 'for a new best friend'. But when I retired there's certain things and people I left 'on the job'....................sure don't want to PAY to be around that crap now that I'm retired.
But....I always do enjoy a good laugh.

Doesn't take long to get checked in the campsites are very clean and well kept, the little ones just love the playground, which we visited almost daily. The pool is very nice, we like the lots in the 180's we are returning there very soon. I would tell everyone its a great park.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy. I was a bit hesitant because of some of the other reviews. But, the staff was friendly enough, and the grounds were very well kept. We traveled with a 26ft travel trailer and had a nice shady spot. We are not real "campers" we tend not to hang around the grounds too much because we have a 18 month old son who is very curious and would climb into everyone's campers if he could. But, the few other campers we did run into were all very friendly! The park is also very nice and quiet. There is a nice playground, air jump pillow and pool to keep older kids busy and lots of nice roads to ride bikes. I highly recommend this RV Park. We were very happy!!!

Won't return!!!!!! Wont let you pick sites. Good probably for over nighter. Positive note it is clean but don't allow swings in trees or kids to have fun. Kids got told multiple times not to do things that are totally acceptable everywhere else. Don't bother with this place.

The park facilities were average for the nightly rate, a little dated and the sites are very close together. The campground itself is very nice and in a great location near historic Carlisle. The thing that will deter us from camping here again is the employees. The staff is more concerned about making money and enforcing the rules than they are about families having a pleasant visit. No discounts are offered. While staying here with my wife and two kids my father visited us at the campground for lunch. He was stopped at the gate and asked to pay $3.00 per person just to visit the site for a quick lunch. The "gate guard" was very confrontational which shocked my father. No refunds are offered at the arcade although eh machines eat quarters. The camp office staff was confrontational and rude in every encounter. I attempted to refill my propane tanks, they charged a flat full rate (rather than per pound filled) they offered conflicting excuses as to why they could not refill my supposedly outdated tanks, then under-filled them. Seems anbout 1/3 of the campers were "long term" and were allowed more than temp campers. Rude staff made for a very frustrating 4 nights at this camp. If friendly customer service were a priority here, this would be a great campground for families.

Room Tip: Staff was rude, bent on enforcing rules and taking your money.

Lets start out by saying....I am not a camper!! lol My sister and brother-in-law love to camp. I joined them at Western Village for Memorial Day weekend. I had a great time. The Park is beautiful with so many activities that if you got bored it was your own fault. Everything from putt putt to live entertainment. My grandniece was along and loved the bike riding, game room, playground, swimming pool and jumping area. Sunday night they had Country Express Band entertain the campers. The park is pet friendly. Staff was very nice. Will definitely be returning!

We stayed here overnight in August on our way to the Jersey Shore from Ohio. We called and made reservations ahead of time and were pleased to learn that they have a number of pull-through sites that are reserved just for transients staying for a night – this makes getting in and out quick and easy. We arrived earlier than we thought we would, late on a Friday afternoon so we had the opportunity to use some of the parks facilities including the pool and the jumping pillow (extra cost) which the kids loved. The park is a family run operation and the employees were friendly, helpful and did a fine job of catering to the kids including keeping the jumping pillow open later than scheduled until they had all worn themselves out. Being a Friday in early August, things did get a bit crowded as the evening wore on but this is too be expected but things did not get out of hand and we had a restful night a arose rested for the second part of our tow to the shore.
