“Okay for a night's stay”

Contrary to the other reviews, we did not have any problems here. Stayed here for one night on a family trip. Our room was a nice size, had a refrigerator, and we had plenty of hot water. The location offers easy access to the highway. It is a bit more expensive than some of the other hotels/motels in town. But probably one of the better choices.

When my wife got out of the shower, the water was up to her ankles. I waited for the water to go down. When I finished my shower, I was standing in ankle deep water. Then the toilet stopped up. When we went to the bare bones free breakfast, I asked them to fix our problem. They got the toilet flushing, but not the sink or tub. When we checked out, there was no mention of a discount for our inconvenience. When I asked for a discount, I was told that since I had a green book coupon rate of 64.99, they would not offer a further reduction. Apparently coupons are second class citizens. Then the lady said that since they don't offer best western rewards for coupon rates, she would credit me with 650 points for clogged tub and sink. I was not impressed at all.

We have stayed here before and gave it a good rating...BUT the last time we stayed (March 2012) was a different story!
WATCH your credit card! We "had" to give them a credit card to "keep on file". The next morning the credit card company called us because someone was using it to charge stuff ! We hardly EVER use that card...it had to be the kid at the counter. We are not stupid...they accused Bestwestern.com...yeah right. Be careful, these same people own other Best Western hotels.

Read reviews after the fact of checking in. Yep, hot water took forever. The night we checked in it was non existing, the next day took about 20 mins to get it to finally work. Never did get any in the sink. It was ok for just a stop for 1 night.

Just needed a place to sleep for 1 night on a 2-week road trip. One of the cleanest hotels that I have stayed in - truly could not even find a piece of lint in the room. There were only about a dozen cars in the parking lot mid-week late winter - and only service I used was check-in and to grab a cup of coffee in the AM from breakfast buffet. I don't think I saw sign of another guest or staff other than desk clerk during the 15 hours I was there. Obviously recently renovated/refurbished, and inexpensive was clearly the goal. But for a place to sleep it was fine.

Room Tip: Back - no parking lot there are several noisy tractor trailers started up in AM in front.

Almost all of the hotels in Carlisle are older, and you can still find real "motel" types, but this hotel is aging gracefully and gave us a good night's sleep on our way home. That's what we were looking for. The price was right for guests simply spending the night. We were up and out early.

Room Tip: When we enter a state, we get the coupon book and try to use those hotels after checking the Trip Ad...
