A small operation staffed by enthusiastic and dedicated regular staff and volunteers. They have always been more than willing to spend time with me explaining where to find things and actually helping me with reasearch.

Thank BruceRR

The museum was nicely done and informative. Both my mom and I were happy we were able to take the time and read all the exhibits.

Carlisle has a fascinating history, and the exhibits at Historical Society can help you find out more. Carlisle, a cross-roads for immigrants, played an important role in the Revolutionary War, and was shelled by Jeb Stuart's Confederate soldiers as they marched through Carlisle on their way to fight at Gettysburg. All this is documented there, and if you are looking for specific documents, the historians at the society are more than willing to help.

I have visited here several times since we moved into the area. I keep returning to learn more. I also appreciate the guided tours that they offer. The research assistants are very helpful.
