Radcliffe Cafe has been there, near as I can tell, forever. It's main clientelle have been the factory workers that are now all but gone from the area. However, with the influx of 55+ communities, business has done anything but slow.
They only serve breakfast and lunch and close by about 1pm (they close the door 10 minutes before closing). I try to get there by about noon.
No matter when I go, it's crowded. It's a seat-yourself place and be prepared to stand if you go on a weekend, especially Sunday. You get a lot of the after church crowd.
They have specials on the board every day. They also have breakfast specials Monday through Friday.
The food is hot, fast, and fresh. The service is not bad, considering how busy the staff is. The atmosphere is always friendly, most of the patrons are locals and know everyone else.
This place is CASH ONLY. You want to figure about $10 to $15 per person, just to be safe.
