without a doubt the best grilled pork chops;
cooked perfectly; largest chops we have ever seen;
large variety of specials supplement an interesting
menu; bread, salad, vegetable sides choices.
our choices,recommended by our server david,
were excellent, including the wine. nice atmosphere,
friendly staff; but, the pork chops were superb.
david was very professional, knowledgable about
all the menu items, and friendly..

The tavern provided great service and nice menu selection and very tasty food with a nice atmosphere with town setting that provided a nice walk after dinner.

Delicious salads and appetizers, quiet interesting menu, and perfect if you're going to Allenberry Theater nearby for the latest play, you can't miss going to this restaurant.

It was a last minute decision late on a Saturday afternoon to head to Boiling Springs to see the luminariers that are placed around the lake during the Christmas season. My husband and I talked about possibly having dinner at the Boiling Springs Tavern but did not hold out much hope for such because after all it was a Saturday evening during the holiday season and we had no dinner reservations. Upon our arrival at the Tavern and despite our lack of reservations, the host (possibly the owner) was very welcoming and told us it was not a problem that we did not have reservations...he would take care of us and make sure we were seated. How nice! We went to the bar to wait for a table and before we were finished with our drinks, a table was available. We shared an appetizer of grilled polenta with mushrooms and peppers. My husband had salmon with a cherry and onion chutney/glaze and I had braised short ribs, both of which were dinner specials for the evenning. We shared a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert. The entire meal was excellent. Plus, our waiter Dave was so very accomodating and friendly. We are looking forward to going back to the Tavern in the not too distant future.
