Had breakfast at Dean's twice last week, was not disappointed. Nothing really special, but good food, adequate portions and good service.

It was a little after 10PM on a Sunday night, me and my family were looking for a late night bite to eat and Dean's Diner was open. How we wish we kept going and found another place to eat. Let's star with service, we were rudely approached and asked to change our seats. It didn't stop there, but out of fairness of the other waitresses and waiters here, we won't go into details.

The food is typical diner fair and maybe it was the time of night or the day we stopped (they are open 24/7), several items were not available. Items like the hot meatloaf and roast beef were on the menu but not available. We had to settle for burgers and grilled cheese. Our appetizers all tasted a bit freezer burned or the oil was old and left a funny tast in our mouths. The burges were small and disappointing.

They charge you for just about everything here, lettuce ($0.10), tomato ($0.30), even the 2 glasses of water ordered by my wife and daughter were charged $1 per glass.

We didn't have any breakfast items or deserts (not much available this day/time of night based on the empty coolers), but with the rude and sometimes arrogant service we received, we didn't want to stay any longer.

I would recommend you don't stop here at night or at least on a Sunday evening, they don't have a full menu and the service is less than palatable.

I loved their cinnamon French toast and potatoes. The staff was very sweet, and you could have breakfast any time of day because the diner is open 24 hours a day.

This eatery is quaint as it is like taking a step back in time. Typical diner fare, however, not the culinary experience of way back when. Their pie is supposed to be the best, and having eaten in Deans years ago, it was. Sadly, it lacks luster and has definitely not kept up with the changing of palatal education. I think their food is sadly behind the times and needs to change to meet the newly educated public. Sad to watch institutions like this go behind.

Great food, fast and fairly priced--a solid value and a delightful diner experience. Save room for pie.
