Greystone Manor
Ranked #4 of 4 Bird in Hand B&B and Inns

What a wonderful experience!!! It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was delightful. The gardens are so beautiful and the breakfasts were outstanding. The "baked" oatmeal was a plesant and very different breakfast treat. Angie and Wade did a great job of making all the guests welcome, being a young couple with two small children, they have made the ambience of Greystone Manor outstanding! Our room was on the third floor and rather small but very adequate and charming. As two 72 year old seniors, we highly recommend a stay here. It is such a easy place to find and the location was perfect for enjoying Pa Dutch country. I must say that couples of all ages will find it to their liking!!!

This was our first stay at a B & B. Great room, beautiful groundskeeping and landscaping. Very comfortable. Very private.

I had a fabulous time at the Greystone Manor. My room was small, most of the other rooms were larger, but it was clean, comfortable and quite charming. The bathroom was very clean with nice thick towels. The mansion has a very comfortable sitting area on the main floor where there’s a small “lending library”. Hot beverages are available all day along with snacks which are available for a small fee. I would have liked access to ice, however cold water is available in the dining room.

Breakfast was quite good. There was a large selection of juices and hot beverages and many different cereals, pastries and fruit. Angie also prepared a different hot “all you can eat” entrée every morning.

The mansion is located on a hill above the highway so the noise from the cars is buffered, but you can still hear the clomping of the horse and buggies coming down the road, a delightful sound, especially in early morning.

The highlight of the mansion is that Wade and Angie have created a lovely garden setting with beautiful flowers and waterfalls. It was very pleasant sitting out on one of the benches or in the gazebo. And of course swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub (towels are provided) was the best way to end a long hot day of shopping and sightseeing!

I would definitely recommend Greystone Manor for anyone planning to stay in Lancaster County - I plan on returning!

Greystone Manor:
This was our first B&B. We were very happy with our experience. The grounds and house were beautiful and well kept.
For breakfast everyday, we had the choice of hot instant cereal, cold cereal, juices, hot tea, hot cocoa, bread for toasting, bagels, milk, and fresh fruit like bananas and apples. In addition, on Tuesday we were offered Amish oatmeal bake with raisins, scrambled eggs, and ham. Wednesday, we had boiled eggs, French toast, and sausage. Thursday we had pancakes, waffles, donuts, and another kind of sausage. The meals were wholesome and good.
The hosts were nice. They treated us well.
Our room was cleaned daily while we were out. Other than the air conditioner not shutting off, our rooms were great. We had room #10 with the 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The beds were comfortable. The t.v. worked fine the few times we used it. We were in the carriage house, which I liked because it gave us more privacy.

Throughout the grounds, there were places to sit and relax. In the back corner of the property is a glider, which we used a lot. There are also tables and chairs around the gardens and pool area. The grounds had beautiful flowers and 2 ponds; one with a water wheel and one with a waterfall and fish.
We would recommend this B&B. The other guests we talked with seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We were greeted by the mean spirited innkeeper..with out even a hello or a welcome...think she had just gotten up from a nap at 3 in the afternoon...check in time.
the room was in the carriage house ...hot,dirty and the bed did not look freshly made.... we were asked to leave the pool on a hot steamy night at 8p.m. because they wanted to lock up for the night...pool was supposed to be available until 9 p.m.
the next day after touring the area we returned to our room at 6 p.m. to find that it had never been cleaned or the bedding changed as we requested...we went to the main inn and after 15 minutes of waiting the inn keeper handed me the sheets and said the housekeeping staff had left for the day...i was speechless. i reminded her that it had been extremely hot the night before and asked her to adjust the air conditioner...she smirked and told me to open the window...BEWARE STAY AWAY!!!! not even for free!!!!!

My husband and I took advantage of the two night package with meals and received a nice room in the carriage house (very clean but would have liked to have stayed in the mansion), a $50 gift certificate to the Brasserie restaurant - absolutely delicious! We actually had to struggle to eat enough for the $50.00! We also received two gift certificates to a dinner buffet at one of the Amish/Mennonite restaurants - delicious as well! Of course breakfast is also included - assorted cakes, pastries, cereals and one morning there was pancakes and sausage and the next morning there was scrapple and . . . now I just can't remember! Anyway, it was all delicious. Wade and Angela are a nice young couple and are very pleasant. Overall, a pleasant trip.
