Well kept property, staff were friendly (mainly local Amish folk). The rooms were very nice and spacious. You must ensure when you book to ask for room facing the corn fields. Breakfast was ample, free Internet, indoor pool and small gym. An outdoor area is missing for those lazy summer days to relax out by the outdoor pool. Activities include museum, on site Amish restaurant experience and Amish buggy ride which was a bit of a rip off as it said drink and homemade biscuits on a local Amish farm which you had to pay extra for. The Amish driver sadly enough had no idea that in Australia we speak English and spoke to me like I was an idiot. He also carried a mobile phone which is not really in the spirit of what I thought "genuine Amish" was all about. A bit of hippo racy if you ask mt.

Overall a very nice place to stay for two days which is about all you need in Amishland Pennsylvannia.

Thank you for sharing your comments about your recent visit to Lancaster County! The beautiful views from our property are just one of the many things guests love best about our Inn. I am glad to hear you got to explore several of the activities on our property as well during your stay. I apologize for your experience at the buggy ride. Thanks again for the review.

The hotel is in the heart of Amish country. It is a clean, modern hotel with large rooms with a mini kitchen of refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and they have made to order waffles or omelets, as well as baked oatmeal and normal breakfast fare. This is our second stay at AmishView Inn and Suites, we stayed here 5 years ago for 4 nights and came back last week for 5 nights.

Over Labor day weekend my Partner and I made our second visit this year staying at the Amish View Inn. We have also stayed there twice in 2012. We always book our trip well in advance and we request a view of the farm (on back of the right side of the hotel). Three times in a row our Deluxe King room gave us a view of the farm and Horse Coral. The hotel is on the same property as the Amish Experience (and tours) and the Plain and Fancy Restaurant. The included morning breakfast is fantastic. They make omelettes and Waffles to order and have a wide selection of both hot and cold items. They recently started a frequent guest program in which you get a $100 off a room after ten nights. We do not stay anywhere else when we go to the PA Dutch country.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of the right side wing give you a view of the farm.

My husband and I just returned from 4 nights at the AmishView. (8/31 - 9/4). Everything was fabulous. We had a king room that looked out to the side of the hotel to an Amish farm. It was such a delightful stay. The room is well appointed and a very nice size and very cozy and comfortable. They have a nice pool and Jacuzzi and there is a small laundry room and exercise room. All the open areas where you get off the elevators have chairs and and a table and a lamp so if you did want to read and have coffee and not wake up others in your room you could always sit out there. The lobby is great - lots of seating, a large flat screened t.v. and they have coffee and teas 24 hours a day. The breakfast is very nice - a nice spread - hot and cold and there is a chef there to cook eggs and waffles to order. It would be difficult staying elsewhere now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!!!!!

My wife and I have been vacationing in Amish Country for the past 30 years. We are very picky and particular about were we stay. This hotel is located in the center of the Amish countryside. It is a modern clean hotel with an impressive lobby. Parking is right in front of the hotel and there is plenty of it. The rooms are always spotless and smell clean as opposed to the chemical cleanser smell you find in some hotels. The front desk staff are always helpful and friendly. There is a good buffet restaurant next door and many other amenities in the hotel. Well worth the money and we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine.
