Description: Smorgasbord buffet, menu dining, and take out meals. Nestled amid the Amish farmlands of Lancaster County, this Mennonite family-owned business features farm fresh meats, poultry, fruits and vegetables from nearby farms and Grandma Smucker's favorite Pennsylvania Dutch recipes. Family-friendly with a Noah's Ark Kids' Buffet and breakfast, lunch and dinner smorgasbords, this local favorite has been a landmark for more than 40 years.

We stopped in for an early dinner this week. The buffet was 15.99 including beverage. It was fair, but I wouldn't get the buffet again and doubtful we will return. The buffet had two soups, a salad bar, (good carrot & raisin salad) dessert bar with very limited choices and of course, the main dinner buffet. Ham balls, dry looking roast beef, turkey, fried chicken. They had stewed tomatoes but no mac/cheese! I had a chicken leg and two wings, but there was nothing else that really looked appealing. My spouse was disappointed too, said the chicken pot pie was tasteless.

Our server was excellent, but the food was very very disappointing.

With several smorgasbord restaurants to choose from, we tried Bird-in-Hand due to the recommendations of others and found it excellent. They had ample parking and seating, took us right away on a week night, and offered either off the menu or smorgasbord as choices. The all you can eat smorgasboard was $16.00 per person, with the menu options mostly between $9 and $12. Soup, salad, main course, dessert and drink are included for the smorgasboard price. It included three soup choices, salad bar, bread bar, several main dishes, lots of sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, and sweet potatoes. Dessert offered several cakes, pies, and ice cream. If you are healthy and can walk easily, I would recommend the smorgasbord option, if you are overweight or unstable in your walk, I would recommend the menu option. Enjoy!

Had lunch there with my family, service was excellent and help was so friendly. They were willing to go the extra mile ,especially when we had a slight accident at the table, and soda's and drinks went flying. Thank you all for your help ! Food was great.
