The falls trail is a beautiful hike. It is a difficult hike if you wish to do the entire loop of the trail and boots are a necessity. It is rocky, uneven, and very steep inn sections. There are various other trails throughout the park from easy to moderate difficulty which are also pleasant hikes.

The walk down to the Falls is a treat on a hot day. It can be a bit slippery and crowded. Wear good shoes and a smile.

If you want to learn how to photograph waterfalls, this is the place to visit. ~21 waterfalls in a moderate ~4 mile hike. We visited during the peak fall and colors and the flowing water made the place simply magical. The waterfall loop hike is moderately strenuous with lots of steps. The trail is slippery in many places, so you need to be extremely cautious. However, there are plenty of places to stop and take photograph, so you will get adequate rest. Just remember that the hike might take 4-5 hrs depending on how much time you are spending on the photography. There are no drinking water source or restrooms on the way, so remember to carry enough water. A good shoe will help as rocks are loose in many places and finally don't forget to carry your tripod and the neutral density filters. There are several other hiking trails in the park but the waterfall loop trail is the most popular amongst them.

Beautiful place, but not manned with rangers. Some of the trail was a little treacherous and you really had to watch your step. STAY ON THE TRAIL PEOPLE - folks have gotten REALLY hurt when they go off the trail!
