“Ricketts Glen Cabin”

We had a very nice stay, Jeff was very helpful and accommodated our request for early arrival. If I can make one suggestion, maybe move the sign for the cabin to the driveway before the turn and the address on my communications was 240 the cabin is actually 238. The cabin is convienantly located 1 mile from the Ricketts Glen state park which we hiked almost 8 miles and enjoyed the waterfalls.

“We'll Be Back!”

Wonderful secluded cabin in a great location for visiting beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park. We stayed at the cabin over Thanksgiving 2010 and again for four nights in August 2017. The cabin is comfortable and very well maintained and has lots of amenities that you won’t find in many cabins. It is also near the Ricketts Glen Hotel restaurant, Red Rock Corner Store, Mountain Steak & Wings, and Red Rock Scoop (ice cream shop). It is about ten miles down Route 118 from the Mountain Fresh supermarket and the Red Rooster Family Restaurant. Very easy to eat out or to buy groceries and cook or grill at the cabin. Jeff H does an excellent job making this “home away from home” and we look forward to staying at the cabin again in the future.

“Beautiful cabin with a great view for the meteor shower!”
Reviewed August 15, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We spent the day hiking the falls trail of Ricketts Glen, stopped at the hotel for a bite to eat and then came back to our beautiful secluded cabin to watch for the meteor shower. It's a cozy, rustic cabin not far from the trails or food. No complaints about anything really. There is a fire ring, if you'd like to buy wood you can do so about a mile up the road, or possibly bring a few logs from home. There is not wood on site. We would definitely come back here on our next stay. We had an wonderful trip.

“Great cabin”
Reviewed August 13, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We had a great time and loved the cabin! It was clean and well maintained. It even has a Sleepnumber bed. It was much better than the cabins inside the park, and wit out having to deal with the uberstrict park rangers. Will want to rent this again when we go back.

“Loved this place!”

We absolutly loved this place. It far exceeded my expectations! The kitchen has just about every cooking utensil you can think of, and good quality. There's enough chairs outside for every member of the family. There's even a bench swing in the back yard. It even comes with movies and board games for the kids! And in the freezer when we arrived was a new bag of ice. I feel like I found a hidden treasure in this place!

“Great cabin with everything we needed!”

Location was great, very close to Ricketts Glen. The waterfalls are amazing! Only one hour drive to Knoebels Amusement Park. Several antique shops close by. Several places close by to do a little fishing. Had cell phone service with Verizon. The owner Jeff was very accommodating, easy to contact and said if we needed anything during the week to contact him. Liked the fact Jeff allowed our dog to vacation with us. The fire pit was enjoyed by our family every evening. Cabin was comfortable. Washer and dryer was a plus. Would stay again. Thanks Jeff for renting out your cabin in the woods. Perfect place for a great family vacation.

“Cabin in the Woods”

Pulling up it looks like something out of a storybook. I almost anticipated Goldie Locks to jump out of the trees. It was a super cute cabin in a beautiful forest setting. When I walked inside it did not disappoint as well. It isn't super big but has more than enough space. I adored the little spiral staircase up to the second floor that had a nice set up for sleeping. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with basic equipment needs. The living room had a comfy couch and some dvd's were provided to watch (though it appears, sadly, that some previous guests may have taken a few disks from the cases). There are a few minor things I thought could use some updating, but then I remember its a cabin and in impressive shape for a cabin!

The outside was a treat as well. Charcoal grill, fire-pit, and plenty of areas to seat. I l loved that they are pet friendly as well. The location was fantastic. Easy to find off route 118 east; just make the first left past the Rickett's Glenn hotel. Its a small dirt driveway with a 238/240 red sign at the end of it. That hotel is walking distance and a must for food. Finally it is a nice location to explore Rickett's Glen. We had a lovely stay for our anniversary and would recommend this place to others. In fact I shared a photo of the outside on social media and several people asked me about it.
