“Fun place For not much of a gambler.”

Been here quite a few times. Well, I do live like 5 minutes away. Like every casino, noisy but has tons of machines. There are both virtual and live gambling tables. Also a stage with dance floor, decent size. Every Thursday is Live Music night. Good food. Best part, there is a Chickie and Pete's inside.

“Love it!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I've been going to Parx for almost 2 years now. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. When I first started going, the machines didn't pay for nothing. Now they are loosening up a bit. The promotions they offer are great! I will keep going as long as my bank account allows me!!

The casino is big, not like vegas at all. Where is the inexpensive buffet? Vegas feeds you for not much play. The new machines are interesting, but difficult to get on since they only bring in 3 or 4 of each model. Also if they say they are like vegas, as parx is obviously off the strip, where are the $5 crap, roulette and blackjack live table games, $15 table minimums are too rich for my pay. Would be nice if they announced over pa system when anyone hits a jackpot, make it seem like it is possible to hit one. We avoid parx during give aways too many people, cant get on games you want and not going to win give aways, especially slot tournaments with the thousand people blocking the aisles . Overall parx is ok, with its convenient location, friendly staff and multitude of slot machines.

“Stingiest Casino Ever”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

parx is the worst casino concerning giving you comps, etc. for all the money you waste at their casino. It doesn't matter rather you have a red or black (Elite) card, they won't give you anything unless you are 'in' with them. And then they send you offers saying you can get this and that, then when you ask they say you don't have enough "points" etc, to get it - and that is after I came every day, and spent a lot of money.

Also, the racetrack should be reported for child neglect - there are signs around the casino/parking lot stating that no child can be left unattended, but they let these kids run all around the racetrack, getting in patrons way - and what's worse I have seen many parents/and or guardians let their children 'bet"??? Really, now we will have degenerant kids due to parx's lack of security or concern.

I know the Casino's don't 'make' you come to them, and those who enter most be more than aware of what it in stake for them - mainly losing their hard earned money. But when a casino offers a card, with supposed 'comps' on them, they should honor them. Obviously parx doesn't care rather you have a red (low limit) or black (elite) card, they won't give you a thing, even if you show that you came every day and lost a lot of money!

Also, I have asked the casino workers several times where exactly the 'non-smoking' section is, as machines/areas are not clearly marked. And for those that are, many people just either smoke and drop their ashes, etc. on the machines, or grab a tray from somewhere and use it there. I tell people it's non-smoking, they look at you like 'whatever'.
