Oh dear oh dear. Having decided on Sunday to take a visit to the 'LA' for lunch, primarily to see what life was like after the previous team vacated (after 13 years?) I have to say we won't be going back.
For the entire time we were in this place the chef was going ballistic at the young serving staff. It was getting quite embarrassing. Having seen them at front of house, and how polite and friendly they we're, we could only presume that his operation in the kitchen had failed that afternoon and he was annoyed.
But there was no need to be shouting at the waitresses like he was, within earshot of the diners throughout the pub (barring the beer garden) and taking out your frustrations like that is just bullying. A table of old dears near us were saying kind things like "He's just having a bad day love" but that says it all frankly.
As for the food: decidedly average and not at previous 'LA' standards.
