“Delicious food a bit on the pricy side!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

Food was delicious and service was solid.
Portion sizes were a bit small for my taste.
Prices were a bit high too.
Some may be disappointed that the children’s menu doesn't have more to offer.
The two children in our party both opted for the much more expensive regular menu, I believe to their parent’s dismay.
Then again the food was delicious. Prepared in a timely fashion and presented well. All in all a nice upscale restaurant.
The Micro Brewed beer, made on site, was very flavorful with a deep amber color. Highly recommend the beer. Everyone liked the setting.
Building was clean and I always find it fun to eat in a building that has a history. Enjoyable on most fronts but a bit pricy.

“Stopped on a whim”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

A scenic and restored old grist mill. They have done an excellent job of restoring the old mill. The place is bright and clean; the staff was execellent and knowledgeable about the history of the mill which just added to the charm. We stopped for a light lunch and a quick beer. We both had the Soufflé on a bed of greens. It was light and the seasoning was excellent. I would recommend it. We topped it off with a HB48 Session Ale which was very good. I wish we were not just passing through as I would have liked to try some of their other menu items and the craft beer. If in the area, I will go back.

“Very good beer, ok food and a far cry from the "Old Mill"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

We were huge fans of the Gamble Mill when it was under the previous ownership. The "New Mill" offers a very nice selection of craft beers and our favorite of the night was the pig iron IPA. We were in for a quick bite and sat at the bar due to a busy evening of reservations (no big deal for us). To start, we had the Hungarian Mushroom soup which was always a favorite of ours. It differs slightly from the old recipe, but was still good. I had a chicken sandwich which was more bun than chicken (think about the old "where's the beef?" commercial) and my wife was very happy with the pastrami sandwich. We had gnats constantly flying around us during our dinner and the bartender said that they were having a problem with gnats at the bar. In the future, we would make this a stop for a beer with friends or for a night cap, but would probably choose another restaurant for dinner.

“Charming ambience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

They have created an excellent restaurant in an old mill. The food is excellent although there is a limited menu for vegetarians. We enjoyed our meals. The inside has preserved all of the old wooden beams and floors which is charming. They display local art work. There is a large room for private parties which would be very nice.

“Great service, craft beer and food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012

Rustic charm and friendly service help make this restaurant one of my local favorites. The menus differ from the tavern on the ground floor and the restaurant upstairs. So if you are in the mood for a really good burger, eat in the tavern. A fine dinner, the grilled salmon is my favorite, can be found upstairs in the dining room.
