My wife bid at the silent auction for Special Olympics and we won a free night and took advantage for Valentines and Presidents weekend. The Hotel is very relaxing, the staff are wonderful. We arrived in early evening before 6PM, hungry and forced to sit in very uncomfortable spot in the tavern, food was mediocre at best and chicken wings were not cooked, had to return, etc. Managing this, we are hardy travelers and off we went to bed. The flowers that were ordered and provided by conceirge were the highlight of stay and enjoyed at home as well, the champagne not in the room as ordered was a disappointment as it was for both my wife's birthday and valentines day. I arrived later and we uncorked the bottle the next day. Attempted to have lunch in tavern only to once again find limited seating---so into town and to Jean Bennet Tavern and that was wonderful, after years of traveling turnpike and seeing it, and now enjoying it. Would recommmend that restaurant to all. There was great disappointment to find the spa all booked, my wife had spoke of it days before and there was no advanced warning that we needed to have reservation. They lost our reservation for the Crystal Room and quickly corrected that. My disappointment, expecting elegant dining, and having put on a tie, could have shown up in jeans, not what I expected for a special valentine dinner. Have enjoyed dinner in some fine restaurants, coat and tie, required. Personally offended, especially for a hotel of this reputation. Five restaurants, so there were other options for the less formal. I do want to say that the staff were wonderful, the hotel is relaxing and wonderfully appointed. To be forwarned is to be for armed and our stay could have been more delightful if we had been informed in advance. Guests should not be informed after they arrive that they need reservations, when the idea is that you are staying at a spa resort.

We appreciate your honest review of The Omni Bedford Springs Resort. Although we always enjoy hearing the compliments of our guests, it is even more important for us to hear where we have room for improvement. You took the time to share both and for that we are thankful. We are working to make sure that both our reservations team and our online communications recommend that guests make reservations in advance for Spa Treatments, Tee times, and other resort activities. Although we try our best to accommodate everyone there are many times, especially weekends and holidays, where our availability sells out with advanced bookings. In addition we are currently changing the concepts for The 1796 Room and The Crystal Room to more closely align with our guest expectations. We anticipate that these changes will roll out in early April. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor and we hope you will give us a second opportunity to provide you with the stay that you expect and deserve.

The Omni Bedford Springs was just fabulous. The little perks were great (with Omni Select Guest), including 2 breakfast beverages per guest and evening turndown service. We ate in the Crystal Room and 1796 Tavern and the staff were fabulous...a younger male in the Crystal Room and a guy named TJ in the Tavern... both friendly, prompt and genuinely interested in our comfort. A special note to Colleen/Collette at the front desk as well for her unbelievable service and friendliness. We cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I spent Valentine's Day weekend at the Omni Bedford springs and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the resort. Everyone was so friendly, from the concierge who called the day before we arrived to check and see if we needed anything, to the Spa who put us on their wait list and managed to get us both in for appointments. The hotel is historic and magnificently restored. For anyone who loves history-- this is a must! The entire hotel has been renovated and the environment is relaxing, inviting, warm and beautiful. If you go, you MUST book a spa appointment. The entire spa experience is better than any that I've been to before-- with the bedford bath treatment complimentary for all spa guests. Spending an hour in the beautiful restorative baths before your appointment and then relaxing looking out over the wooded hillside is an incredible experience. The room was comfortable, large, and modern, with a lovely bathroom. We ate at all of the restaurants and had wonderful food and service at each. We will be SURE to go back soon, and often!

We traveled to the Bedford Springs Resort to celebrate my birthday. What a wonderful stay. We had a difficult two years of family illness and death and really needed a get-away. This was perfect. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The food was the best we have ever experienced. The facility is a joy to explore - which we did as there were torrential downpours during our stay which prevented us from hiking the trails as we had planned. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very nice. Only complaints were that a lot of light came into the room from the outside lights and we could hear people in the hallway and next door. Thankfully, they were not noisy.

Don't hesitate for 1 minute - make that an instant - to visit this hotel. Everything about it is wonderful. It is a destination in itself. So much to do for the entire family. We're heading back soon to take in more of this beautiful historic place.

First let me say that I am a very particular traveler. I work in hospitality and I have a hard time with most hotels because of the lack of cleanliness that most exhibit. Having looked at reviews and reviews my husband to be and I had decided to cancel our honeymoon. However, upon reading about the Bedford Springs Resort in a newspaper insert about the fall festival I decided to check it out. I was cautiously excited after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews but I know that sometimes places look better online than in person.

That being said - WE LOVED THE BEDFORD. So much so that we went back again in December during off-season. I highly recommend upgrading to the spa room with the porch at the front of the hotel. I spent a good deal of time in the clean and very romantic tub and our room was very orderly and clean. The staff was at the level of hospitality that I expect - which is courteous and also receptive to feedback. The grounds are incredible and I loved the hiking trails in fall.

The food at the tavern was less than special but when I was there in December they stated that they were changing the menu. However, during our December stay we ate in the Crystal Room and had the specials and they were to die for [again I am very picky about food as well - why it something that doesn't taste good, right?].

I can't say enough good things about the Bedford. We tell all of our family and friends in the Philadephia area that it is a must stay.

In closing, my husband and I were looking for a relaxing and special honeymoon and we got EXACTLY what we were looking for and then some.

I've been meaning to write this review for some time.

This past Christmas we decided to treat our parents to a night at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort. After a short wait for the bellman and a slight error in our reservation, which staff quickly and pleasantly addressed, we arrived to our rooms to find a hand written note welcoming us and a plate of Christmas cookies. The rooms were beautifully and authentically furnished; large comfortable beds, beautifully appointed baths, and a beautiful porch. The entire hotel is beautiful and was even more charming with the all the holiday decorations.

We enjoyed the tasting menu at 1796 on Christmas Eve; the staff and food were wonderful. We then relaxed by the fire in the lobby near the Christmas tree with music being played on the piano; charming! Christmas morning we took a walking tour of the hotel. It is filled with marvelous history and beautifully remodeled to capture the essence of its original design. We then enjoyed a wonderful Christmas buffet in the ballroom and then one last walk around the hotel.

The staff were impeccable; ensuring we were having an enjoyable stay. They offered to take photos of us, they provided information on the hotel and always greeted us with a good morning or good evening. To top it off, when we checked out, the hotel provided us with an etched glass Christmas ornament of Bedford Springs; a beautiful keepsake we gave to our parents that only added to the memories created during our visit! Thank you Omni Bedford Springs for a delightful and memorable holiday visit.

We look forward to visiting this summer to enjoy some golf and the spa!

A note: If you frequent Omni hotels; become a member of their loyalty club. Omni goes out of its way to give special attention to its frequent guests.
