Description: AT OUR TRATTORIA...the food is traditional Italian. There is no menu, the service is casual and the price is fixed. Everyone is seated at the same table where five different courses are served. We begin dinner with an appetizer, followed by the first dish (pasta or risotto), second dish accompanied by a side (pork, beef, chicken, lamb, salmon... it depends on what we feel like cooking that night!!!), then we finish the meal with a delightful cheese plate including pairings, dessert and espresso. The dinner is perfectly complimented by a bottle of your favorite wine, which our guests are encouraged to bring. Although we do not provide the wine, we will happily make suggestions about what to bring to accompany that night's meal. We do not charge a corking fee. Every night is a unique and wonderful trip for the senses, showcasing the different flavors and traditions of Italy. The cost is $55.00 per person with service included. Our menu changes for each dinner, so please let us know when making your reservations if you have any questions or if you have any dietary restrictions that we should be aware of. Due to limited seating, reservations are required and we recommend making your arrangements several weeks in advance. In addition to our weekly Trattoria, LIFeSTYLE is available for your private events and parties any night of the week except Saturdays, which we reserve for our weekly dinner. For parties of ten or more, the price is $55 per person and we can accommodate up to twenty-two people per event. We generally serve a five course, fixed menu dinner as described above, but we are always willing to customize the meal to best suit your special event.

“Overpriced Ho hum”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 via mobile

Food is pricey considering you get whatever is on the menu that night. Don't like or want it?..expect some attitude. Zucchini soup was good, pasta app was way to salty, pork entrée was so-so. I don't mind paying 50.00 for a meal if I have some choice about what I order and if the food knocks my socks off. My socks are still on. On top of that
expect to sit in a not - so - upscale grocery while you eat. Ambiance is surely lacking.

“what a meal should be about...”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

If you find yourself in Bedford Springs hungry you might get lucky and find Stefano serving his chicken.
This is far more than a meal, it's just a lovely experience.
Every year our family does a trip where 4 families gather from different states to spend time together.
In most cases you opt for good food and end up conversing with the 2 people sitting next to you or you can not care about the food and end up somewhere where the kids can be rowdy and the adults can switch seats. At LIFeStyle you get it all plus a beautiful room, imported dry good shopping, johnny cash rocking in the distance and kind gracious people serving you.

I can't tell you what a great night we had and how wonderful everything was. Stefano is from Milan and he's created an experience that the Italians know best and execute better than the rest of us.
Don't hesitate, go. Bring friends you miss or family you love and enjoy what a meal should really be about - good food, good wine, good company and conversation in a place where the owners want you to relax and enjoy.

“Tastes Good - But Don't Be Misled - 'Class' is really a 'Demo'!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

My husband and I went with another couple to a Sunday evening cooking "class" which was exactly how this experience was described both online and over the phone by the owner. Make no mistake, this was a cooking "demonstration" where we did nothing but watch him prepare a soup, pasta dish, main and dessert, which we were able to taste. The "taste" was pretty much 2 or 3 bites, and altough I was told it wasn't a full meal, it was disappointing to be so misled into thinking we'd be eating what we were cooking ourselves. We booked this more for an experience, rather than a sit down dinner. Unfortunately it wasn't either.

We love visiting Bedford and this shop is both charming and alluring in such a small town. I thougth this could have been done better by making a few simple, even inexpensive, changes. The lighting could have been better (candles a must to create more ambiance, but were missing) and music would have been nice. We got copies of the recipes to take home, but they weren't presented in any sort of interesting manner. Also, with a captive audience in the store (they sell imported Italian goods) they could have offerend something special to the guests. We paid $40 per person for this and brought our own wine. Luckily for the shop, after a few glasses of celebratory Champaign (one of our party was celebrating a birthday) I spent quite a bit of money on imported pasta, olive oil and lots of other fun things.

I really hate to give this an "average" rating, but I simply must. I would happily shop there again the next time we are in Bedford, but they could vastly improve this experience to attract returning guests.

“Two fifths is not worth the exorbidant price.”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Wife and I went with another couple. 1st course: Zucchini soup was great! ; 2nd course: "Mixed-up" pasta was note fresh was fairly flavorless; 3rd: pork and potatoes great taste but 1 mini rib and one small 3" x 3/4 inch of pork ( not even enough for 5 year old ) ; 4th course of 4 mini pieces of cheese was silly; the dessert was OK and the gelato was not smooth. Also as an aside the dry bread had no olive oil available or butter and was flavorless.
All this and had to bring my own wine. And the final was > $ 50 per person. OUCH...

We understand that LIFeSTYLE is unique and is not for everyone. We are sorry to hear that the experience you had was not enjoyable.
Considering we serve a five course meal we do keep portion sizes smaller. Feeling uncomfortable after a long meal is not something anyone enjoys.
As you noticed, we don't serve butter or olive oil. Nor, do we offer soda or ice and there is no salt and pepper on the table. Our concept is to share the tradition of an Italian trattoria with our patrons, to keep the experience as authentic as possible.
We do try to work with everyone's individual requests. As we remind everyone at the beginning of the evening that if there is anything you need to let us know.
