Owner description: Old Bedford Village is a living history museum located in historic Bedford, Pennsylvania. We have nearly 40 structures including authentic 18th and 19th century buildings, moved from original locations throughout our region, representing trade shops and residences. The Village also includes some present-day construction designed to replicate the buildings found in a 18th - 19th century Village. Visit the general store, apothecary, jail, blacksmith, tinsmith, candlemaking and woodworking shops, and much more! Special events are scheduled throughout the season, including living history encampments, Murder Mystery Evenings, and Candlelit Christmas. PLEASE NOTE: OLD BEDFORD VILLAGE IS OPEN DAILY EXCEPT FOR WEDNESDAYS FROM MEMORIAL DAY - LABOR DAY, AND THURSDAY - SUNDAY FROM LABOR DAY - OCTOBER 31. WE ARE ALSO OPEN THE FIRST TWO SATURDAYS OF DECEMBER FROM 5 PM - 9 PM FOR OUR CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS EVENT. The town boasts a number of antique and gift shops. There are several health-food oriented coffee shops and restaurants. You could do the village in an afternoon or less, but it is worth seeing if you are in the area

There is practically nothing to do here on a Sunday morning except go to church. This is an old town with old town business hours and small privately owned businesses. The shops are quaint but don't wait to see it all after checking out of Bedford Springs as you will have to wait for town to open.

Wonderful town full of quaint shops. Nice place to visit. Had lunch in a small shop and it was great!

I have taken my grand children to Old Bedford Village a few times and they have also gone there on school trips. Prepare to spend hours there with all the different things to see. All of the staff are very willing to answer questions. Some even allow the kids to become involved with the project.
