We've been frequenting the Bedford Springs several years for the Christmas buffet and this was the first time it was in held in The Crystal Dining Room. While a lovely atmosphere, it was very un-spacious, meaning the tables were cramped and it felt like a maze to find your way to the buffet. Previous years it was held upstairs and the feeling was roomy and comfortable.

Service was very good when present. I assume it was not to rush the diners, but our check could have been offered fifteen minutes earlier.

While the food was good, the selection and quality seems to be diminishing each year. The salads were fresh and the dressing very nice although not labeled. Trout, vegetables, potatoes, bacon and sausages, as well as beef that was so tough you only wanted one piece as the butter knife was no match for the medium rare jerky.

Will likely search out a new destination for Christmas 2014.

We ordered ala carte items for breakfast. Eggs benedict was especially good. The staff are truly excellent. We will definitely be back during our next visit to Bedford Spring.

We ate here twice during a recent stay - once for breakfast and once for dinner. For breakfast we had the buffet. Although it's somewhat pricey, it's a great buffet. Lots of variety and everything was very high quality. The service at breakfast was fine.

Our experience at dinner wasn't as good. The menu had a lot of interesting choices and the quality of the food was very good. Prices are high but seemed reasonable for a resort. Service was bad however. Our waitress was friendly but seemed very inexperienced. She brought out the wrong order for my daughter which took 10-15 minutes to replace, had 4 or 5 mistakes on our bill, didn't check on us very often, etc. She never apologized for any of the errors - they seemed like routine events to her. One other problem at dinner - they had several flies flying around the room which got to be pretty annoying.

My rating is an average of a 5 for breakfast and a 3 for dinner.

The Crystal Room is lovely with old time photos all around the room. The service was excellent and the food was pricey but very good. I recommend ordering rather than the buffet unless you can eat a ton!

Staying at Bedford Springs, my wife and I decided to have dinner in the Crystal Dining Room. The evening atmosphere of this dining room is very elegant. There is a broad menu offering and nice wine list. We ordered a nice pinot that was out of stock but was quickly provided the wine list again and they were able to secure a bottle of the requested vintage. My wife had the pork tenderloin that required a bit further broiling as it was served medium rare when requested medium. I had the lamb rack that was absolutely wonderful. We ended the dinner with sharing a nice piece of sinful chocolate cake comped because of sending back the tenderloin. Overall, a very nice evening.
