Don't expect a new hotel here, the hotel is old, the tv is old, the mattresses are old. This place needs an upgrade to bring it up to todays minimum standards expected at a hotel. Don't get me wrong, it is fine, it is clean, just don't expect it to be modern. The attached restaurant / dining room is a bonus, and breakfast is served buffet style in this dining room using a voucher system. There are no microwaves or fridges in the rooms, which surprised me in this day and age. Although they do offer free bags of ice if you ask for them.
The WiFi was poor so if internet is important to you, then be prepared to be disconnected several times and a slow connection while you are connected. Again in this day and age, I can never understand why so many hotels we stay in have poor WiFi.

My wife and I stayed for one night. As indicated by other reviewers, the facility is old but well-maintained, and the rooms were clean. We ate at the restaurant since it was convenient. The food was honestly better than I had anticipated, and certainly reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was very generous.

What the room wasn't, was quiet. Unfortunately, as I learned upon checking out, the facility attracts a lot of groups and organizations. Our room opened out to the parking lot, and it also had a rear door that opened to another walkway. Both of these venues attracted groups of individuals who wanted to smoke, continue an earlier conversation, or make plans for the day. This occurred late at night, and early (5:30 AM) in the morning. It was impossible to ignore the noise.

I mentioned the situation upon checking out, and the clerk apologized and said that they can't control people who are inconsiderate. I understand that, but it doesn't change the situation at all.

If you do choose to stay, it might be advisable to check in advance to see if there will be any large groups expected. Also ask for a room that has only one entrance/exit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with only one door.

My Husand an dI stopped here on our way to Ohio. Rooms were clean and very spacious. The free breakfast buffet can't be beat. Plenty of hot choices. Wish we had time to sit by the pool it was beautiful. Highly recommend you can't go wrong.

Arrived without a reservation. Registration was prompt and courteous and we were advised to be sure to take advantage of breakfast the next morning. This is an older facility, but well maintained. Rooms open on the parking lot which makes luggage handling easier. Room was tastefully appointed, clean and normal sized. Bathroom was also clean, with plenty of bathroom linen. Bathroom had only toilet and tub with sink outside of door. Some may not like this arrangement, but it is convenient.

There is a restaurant on premises. Dinner menu was quite varied, prices moderate. Service was good as was the food. There is also a bar, for anyone interested. The recommended breakfast was a buffet style with many selections and both of us were offered vouchers to cover the cost. All food items we selected were freshly made and tasty. There was personal attention to the buffet area to keep it filled.

A large pool and covered hot tub are available. Both looked inviting, but could not make use of them because of the weather.

This was our second stay at the Best Western Beford Inn, and both times have had a very satisfactory experience.
This hotel is dated, as is evident upon arriving. However, the rooms are spacious and clean, the beds comfortable, the shower has good water pressure and never ran out of hot water, and the complimentary breakfast is exceptional. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. There is also a very nice outdoor pool, along with a large, covered hot tub that was most welcome after many days of walking in DC.
You are not going to get the newness of a more modern hotel, but you will find everything that you need here. It is very accessible from the interstate, and there are a number of restaruants in the area ( I would highly recommed the Jean Bonnet!).
Although we no longer have young children, I would definitely recommend this hotel for families due to its budget price, and very nice, clean accomodations.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that faces the parking lot. There are some less convient rooms that are at the ba...

We are a family of four plus pet that travels regularly between Cincinnati and New York, stopping in Pennsylvania along the way. We have stayed in thirty or forty motels over the years, but have never enjoyed one as much as this one. The room was clean, with good wireless internet and (very important, as my son and I suffer from severe back and joint problems) excellent mattresses on the beds, far above the quality one would expect at this price. The grounds behind the building are lovely, with plenty of places to walk our dog. The kids loved the outdoor pool, which is larger than most you find these days - you could actually swim in it! The hot tub - large and hot, just like we need after long days on the road. Breakfast was exceptional - again, this was much, much better than one would expect at this price. There is an excellent restaurant - The Carriage House - just down the road to the left too. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Now, this is definitely a popular place. There are large groups staying there, and even a wedding one of the nights, and it can definitely get a little noisy, but we were so relaxed by the time we went to bed we were barely disturbed. We've found the place we will stay from now on when we're on the road through Pennsylvania.

Room Tip: ask for one away from the vending machines

We had a rough start - had to wait for quite awhile in the lobby before being waited on, then they gave us a room that was already occupied, so we had to wait again to fix that. However, the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, and those things are the most important to me. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Internet access was poor. Still, I'd recommend it - the room was comfortable, clean and well appointed.
