“Great trails”

Cape Perpetua Scenic Area
Ranked #1 of 18 things to do in Yachats
Certificate of Excellence

Walked out to the giant Sitka Spruce. The trail is rated as easy, but if you have small children or frail elderly in tow you probably won't consider it to be an "easy" two mile round trip.

Take advantage of viewpoints and walking trails to see the real beauty of this coastline adventure. Great photo ops as well!

Be sure to stop by the visitor's center. The docents are friendly and passionate about their park!
We were fortunate to walk down to the beach with one of the rangers, who filled us in on the plants and history of the area.
We could have watched the Devil's Churn and Thor's Well for hours.
The trails can be steep, and it's definitely easier going down to the beach than back up, but don't let that stop you!

Devil's Churn was awesome, Could have stayed there for hours listening to it. You must go to Spouting Horn at high tide so time it right.

If you miss this you will miss one of the nicest treats Oregon has to offer. Be sure to drive up to the overlook. . . unless you are socked in in fog. Yes, that can happen, but it's worth the effort.
