One persons like is anothers dislike. I like Yachats. There are some nice State Parks in the area. There is a greasy spoon type restraunt I went to a couple of times I have gone through there with items from local Oregon Artists & Authors that were unique and interesting. The name of the restraunt eludes me. but it is a 1/4 -1/3 mile into town on the right. If You are coming from Florence. The whole drive from Florence to Yachats is full of pull offs to view the ocean and possible whales, sealions and other coastal wildlife.

Bring extra film, batteries, memory cards. You won't believe some of the georgeous views. Doesn't matter if it's sunny or raining - it's always exciting.

Very pretty coastline and great for agate hunting and romantic walks with your significant other.

Our visit was during a very stormy time, 109 mph wind gust!! The waves hitting the rocky beaches with the water shooting way up in the air was quite a sight to behold.

Whether it be whale watching or stopping at a local cafe in Yachats, it still has the feel of the natural Oregon of past days.
