I can finally say that I had a good dining experience at The Drift Inn. We went in for breakfast and it was not busy, so we got attentive service with a smile. The menu is large with everything from healthy choices to not so healthy choices. The opinions were varied among our group about whether the food was awesome or just average. No major complaints though.

“What a surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2013

This place used to be a dive bar where you had to smoke a filtered cigarette to get cleaner air in your lungs. Now, it is a bar/restaurant where you can get a great variety of healthy, tasty food for a reasonable price. We loved it!

“Great restaurant, expected it to be more in keeping with tradition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013

Halibut and fries were nice. Fries were a bit greasy. Fish was excellent!. Girlfriend had chowder, and was a little disappointed, was full of potato and only a single piece of seafood.
I was genuinely disappointed in how the restaurant seems to own the history of the property, and exploit it a little as a rough locals bar, but keeps nothing of it alive. It seemed odd to talk up the harsh fighting atmosphere but had girly umbrellas everywhere inside.

Staff were excellent, food was good, Id go again.

“Oregon Coast Cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

Don't drive by, stop "Inn". My wife, daughter, and I stopped in returning north after driving south from Waldport to visit a couple of Eugene area wineries. Yachats is a no traffic light town along the coast and The Drift Inn is the heartbeat of the area. We each ordered something different and ended up passing the plates around because we could't decide which meal was the best. I'm leaning toward the Seafood lasagna though. Great service, delicious food, and efficient service. Check out the eclectic little area of local and unusual wares and gifts. A lot of fun. Local musician(s) in the background play for tips. Pretty cool find.

“Reliably good food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

We've visited The Drift Inn for lunch and dinner, a romantic twosome and with the family. The food is always fresh and tasty and served up in a friendly style. There is good regional music every weekend, too. Great value and a fun atmosphere.
