“Ocean Haven is ocean heaven !”

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly loved our time here. A storm moved through while we were comfortable and warm inside heightening our enjoyment of the stay. The views are magnificent. The sounds of the ocean were soothing and waking up here was really something. The room was set up nicely with all the amenities anyone could ask for. The innkeeper, Christine, was warm and welcoming and offered many good tips. Thanks again and we will be back.

This is one of the most peaceful beautiful places we have ever visited. The beach below the property is stunning. The accommodation is top notch, comfortable, cozy and welcoming. I can't say enough positive things about Ocean Haven. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the fog roll in, then burn off and roll back in. Hiking around the area is great...but so is sitting and watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. We will be back

Room Tip: The rooms all have stunning beautiful views

We really enjoyed having a cabin with all the utensils and cookware for cooking meals and making coffee. Being able to hear and see the waves roll in on the beach below from your bed and having it lull you to sleep at night was soothing to the soul. I was able to decompress and enjoy the beautiful surroundings including the secluded beach and tide pools below and sea lion and bird watching with our binoculars. This was truly a special place and the owners have rules in place to make sure you enjoy it, but without leaving much of a footprint behind. They are special guardians of the place, so that future generations can enjoy and experience the beauty there that we have been able to enjoy.

Room Tip: The Shag's nest cabin has nice views and privacy.

My family and I have been coming to Ocean Haven for the past 7years and it is always an amazing experience. We love Yachats in general. The coastline here is spectacular, but Christy and Bill have created a little slice of heaven with clean lovely rooms, spectacular ocean views, cozy nooks in the rooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchens, and always a friendly welcome. Ocean Haven is a must if traveling in this area and reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Shag's Nest & South View are my two favorite rooms.

Hello Everyone, My wife and I stayed there the last week of June 2011, Christy was the BEST! She was very upfront with us (being from Texas and talking differently lol) and said NOW, when you get here, this is not some big fancy Hotel, and we do have some rules. While others on this post didnt like it, WE LOVED IT!! Wait, you mean its simple, clean, and with one of the BEST views in the area?!?!? WE WANT IT! The long steep path to the beach was the mild work before the harvest. DO NOT make a mistake by passing this up, sure its not a ritz, but.. She speaks english, she loves the ocean, and all the creatures in it, who wouldnt want to stay in a place that supports that! As far as the rats and mice, I have a HUGE fear of them, (my wife is much braver than I) Had we seen ONE hint of rodents, then we would have blasted in on every site on the WWW... The memory that was made to us at this place will last forver, great get away, great place for a honeymoon, and super great people...

On a two-week road trip with hubby and teenage son, and this was the one place where we didn't stay in a city. It was meant to be the most unstructured and relaxing part of our trip - and it was! The view is phenomenal. The trail down to the beach is a fairly steep switchback, but it's not too long. Also, there is plenty of beach access nearby up and down Highway 101. (Check out Cape Perpetua, if nothing else.)

The property is a few miles south of Yachats (YA-hots), which adds to its feeling of isolation, even though on the east/back side, it's right off the highway. The front/west side faces nothing but beach, ocean, birds, and sea mammals. Hope we can go back again someday.

Terrific location, amazing price, our new favorite getaway. We are nuts for tide pools and this place essentially has a private cache on it's beach. We counted literally dozens of starfish at lowtide.
