The good comments about this hotel are well deserved. We just returned from our first visit to Oregon and wanted to find a place for 2-3 nights on the Central Oregon Coast from which we could venture up and down the Highway 101 to see the lighthouses and scenery. We paid a few extra dollars for a Sunset Suite and definitely got our money's worth. The suite was huge with a large balcony almost over the rocks at the ocean's edge. The suite had a large living/dining room, fireplace, large fully equipped kitchen, 2 baths, and a large master bed room. It looks like it was just built yesterday and we still can't figure out how they keep so pristine on the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Continental buffet breakfast is included. It is just a great hotel in a really beautiful place.

This is our fourth stay at Overleaf, and hope there will be more. The construction of the new wing is finished with all of the planting done. The lobby is a bit larger with more room for breakfast seating and a lovely fireplace and seating area. For the price it is difficult to find a nicer lodge with a great location. Oceanfront rooms in California cost twice as much! We always stay on the third floor and with ocean only steps away, the views are awesome. The breakfast is much more than continental and dellicious. There are no bellman, but there are carts to take the luggage to the room. They seem to keep upgrading the rooms. This year there were new radios with CD's in the rooms and DVD players. My only minor compaint is that the towels are rough! Yachats is a pretty quiet little town, but it is not far to Newport or onto Depot Bay. We usually eat one meal at the Drift Inn. It is not a large restaurant and they get busy. Every night they have musical entertainment.

Highly recommended.

Our favorite place along the Oregon Coast. Very convienient, beautiful views, nice town, close to Cape Perpetua (the best natural place on the coast), and a reasonable price. Ask for an Inglenook room with balcony. Indoor pool and spa almost ready. Great!!!

We decided to drive to Yachats from Bend for the weekend. Got to the Overleaf Lodge close to 9 pm Friday. Since we hadn't stopped for dinner, we were hungry and they had just closed up their new evening service of special small plates. They let us order a cheese plate and a Mediterranean plate (both were really good and generous too) and we took those to our room with a bottle of wine. The sun had set by then, but there was still enough color over the ocean to enjoy as we watched the waves crash on the rocks below. Our room had a fantastic ocean view. In addition to the view, it's the little things that make this place so special. A CD of classical music was a nice touch; the room was large and comfortable; they provide Aveda brand toileteries; bath robes; the staff is very friendly and there is a no smoking policy which is strongly enforced.

Once again, the TA reviews paid off. I had no idea where to stay along the OR coast. The Overleaf had good reviews so I tried it. Once again, not disappointed.

Check was quick and friendly. The room was perfectly clean, bed was comfortable, and the views were awesome. There were some waves crashing on rocks within 75 feet of the balcony. See picture.

The breakfast was above average - and included some hot items. Highly recommend staying here.
