This was our second stay at the Overleaf and we were here for 3 nights in September. We booked a Cook's Galley room which provided us with a small kitchenette including a microwave, hob, fridge and dishwasher, as well as crockery & saucepans. Given that the Overleaf has no restaurant this enabled us to cook a simple dinner on a particularly inclement evening and the hotel has a small pantry selling meals for this purpose. Our room was on the ground floor with a patio area outside and it was very spacious and comfortable with a fantastic view of the ocean. The Overleaf is situated right on the oceanfront and all the rooms have this view.
We were pleased to find that the complementary breakfast had improved considerably from our last visit a few years ago. Then it made us head straight out to a restaurant, this time we were very pleased with the variety and quality.
This isn't a particularly cheap hotel but the location and facilities make it good value for money. Use of the hot tub in the Spa on the third floor is included in the room rate and it was lovely to relax in the Jacuzzi and look at the sea. The spa treatments are very expensive and a few special offers or reduced rates might make them more tempting to guests.
Yachats itself is lovely with some great places to eat, and it makes a good base to explore the coast. There are also some good walking trails to follow.
We would be very happy to stay at the Overleaf again!

Room Tip: Recommend the Cook's Galley for the kitchenette even if you don't want to cook a meal.

Dramatic view of the ocean with waves crashing against the rocks. With the porch sliding door open, the wave action was quite loud, but the room was remarkably quiet with the door closed. Room was very comfortable and pretty. Enjoyed the fireplace and sitting on the porch watching high tide. There is a great path behind the lodge where you can walk to town (only about a mile). Nice breakfast. Enjoyed dinner at little seafood place recommended by the front desk (Luna Sea Fish House).

Stayed here before and it never gets old. Property is always very comfortable and meets what is expected. No anxiety when you drive up and leave very happy. Spa and soaking pool are a high light and the greatest amenity is the sea outside your window. Great breakfast starts your day. Price is bearable especially off season. A real treat if your limited in travel budget.

Room Tip: Upper floors offer best ocean view.

it's all about the little things that create great memories! checking in was made easy with covered "check in parking", convenient luggage carts and a gracious reception. The 3rd floor, "Inglenook" had a dead on ocean view, gas fireplace, glass sliding doors and a private balcony with 2 chairs and a table. All this with crashing waves within a stone's throw. You can actually step into the closet that has a ceiling light! Oh, the shower has a ceiling light.... there are lights everywhere! The spacious room had two extremely comfortable reading chairs, an ottomon and table. Plenty of storage space for unpacking, putting on the robes provided, stocking the refrig and kicking back. Yes, the 3rd floor laundry room is bright, complimentary and spotless. A cozy and quiet library has stocked shelves of books to loan or exchange; the gym comes with an ocean view and several treadmills, elipticals, etc. The spa was open to all guests whether you wished to book appointments for treatments or use the complimentary soaking, jetted pool or hot tub. Nothing beats sitting in the soaking pool with a full on ocean view. The women's spa has a dry heat sauna and a steam room, fabulous showers and Aveda products. (not sure about the men's). We highly recommend this as a quiet getaway.

We are delighted to know that we “exceeded your expectations” and were part of creating great memories. As you mentioned, use of the Spa facilities is one of the included amenities. The Spa features warm and hot soaking tubs with breathtaking ocean views and both the men’s and women’s locker rooms have steam rooms and saunas. We appreciate your high recommendation and will look forward to your return.

Excellant view. Quite rooms and very clean. The whole property is kept up well. Very nice walking path along the ocean. Good breakfast. The spa is nice and the jacuzzis have a wonderful view as well. The location is good for taking day trips up or down the coast which is always a treat. Laundry is complimentary with soap being provided, This is very convenient.

Room Tip: We looked and could not find a room that would disappointing. As usual upper floors have a better vi...

The first clue that something special awaits is when you turn into the Overleaf’s driveway from busy Route 101. The winding, garden-lined driveway immediately creates a sense of peace, and draws you closer to the amazing coastline. We stopped in Yachats after a 10 hour drive up the Northern CA and Oregon coast, and a more welcome respite couldn’t have been found. The rooms are very generous in size, each one with a view of the ocean. Clean goes without saying—the entire hotel is immaculate—and also very comfortable. Our king room had a gas fireplace, sitting area, double sinks for the bathroom and a small kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and another sink. The patio allowed us to keep the door open at night for fresh air, and to hear the ocean waves crashing. We only stayed one night, but I wished we’d stayed longer, to enjoy a massage at the spa or just to just take in the magnificent ocean views. We did take advantage of the hot tubs in the spa (available to all guests) after a 3 mile run along the beach path. The staff was lovely—very friendly and helpful when needed (I left my phone charger, which they found and mailed to me the next day). One thing to be aware of: the rooms don’t seem to have any air conditioning or fan systems, so the only option for fresh air is to open your door.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 316, which is on the top floor almost to the end, and the balcony was shielded fro...

This was the perfect package of view, room and service. I did not use the spa services so I cannot comment, We had an end top floor suite....just spectacular. The rooms are spotless, large, wonderfully appointed. Very relaxing and by far my most favorite spot on our coastal Oregon trip.
The breakfast is included and buffet style. I personally would have like to see some more protein, but there was an egg quiche and hard boiled eggs available.

Room Tip: Room 318 was outstanding.
