Pacific ocean strength and awe! You really get to see the power of the Pacific here. The wave action sounds are great and the ocean smell refreshing.

It might have been the time that we stopped there, but it wasn't doing too much churning at the time.

Go at high tide and you won't be disappointed. The waves crash in and you can safely stand and watch fro pretty close to the action.

The woman at the coffee place was nice and helpful. Dramatic, gorgeous views for photos. Easy and pretty walkways.

Of all the places my husband and I went during our stay on the Oregon coast, the Cape Perpetua area was my favorite - and Devil's Churn was my favorite of all of it. We went about three hours before high tide so it wasn't at its best, but it was still fascinating to watch. The day was a bit foggy, the waves were chopping, and watching the ocean spray over the rocks was pretty awesome.

It's an easy hike down, although once you're past the bridge, it's a bit steep and uneven. My husband has balance issues and so was not able to go down to the rocks, but even so, the view from above was great too.
