“Excellent, if limited, menu...”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

Heidi's is a small, homey Italian restaurant with a limited menu of excellent food. Service was very friendly but not overbearing, and the food was very tasty and well-cooked. I had spaghetti and meatballs, which were light, tasty, and filling. The sauce was made up of fresh tomatoes, clearly NOT canned, and was an excellent complement to the large, moist meatballs. My partner had the crab ravioli - my goodness, those were EXCELLENT! Definitely a find in Yachats! Lovely view overlooking the ocean added to the pleasure of the evening.

“Good eating”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

After bypassing two other eateries, we found Heidi's a pleasant retreat from loud music and highway noise. Though Heidi's is small, it was plenty roomy for the several couples who were there, and I noticed that the waiter promptly produced a take-out pizza another couple had called in. Both of our meals were tasty and satisfying, and the waiter, who quickly refilled empty water glasses, very congenial. From most tables, one could glimpse the ocean a few short blocks away. As we departed, the cook, hidden by her pots and pans, called out, "Thanks for coming in." In a town small enough where everyone knows your name, visitors are quickly recognized and made welcome.

“Had to come back for a second night”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

We saw positive reviews for Heidi’s on the web so we decided to check it out. We had dungeness crab ravioli and a chocolate cake that was made from a 1930s deli recipe. The food was outstanding. We had reservations for a different place the next night but we decided to cancel and go back to Heidi’s. The second night we had the Cioppino and it was as good as the ravioli. I can’t wait to go back to try the pizza.

“Fine Italian-American fare.”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Heidi is a great cook, using Italian-American family recipes. She makes excellent soups, entrees and desserts, and has a small, but adequate wine and beverage selection.

Basically, a little family owned and operated Italian-American trattoria, such as those you would find on the East Coast, it is a bit more haute-cuisine. Heidi uses the best ingredients and is of the slow-cooked, whole foods school of cooking, making everything from her delicious soups, entrees and desserts from scratch.

She is assisted by her partner who mainly handles the ordering and service.

We have eaten there many times in the past, but less so of late, as their hours have changed, and we are seldom in Yachats for dinners.

Great food, good service, nice people!
