It is a really great motel with a friendly owner. The rooms are clean and offer everthing you need. You can just sit in front of the motel and enjoy the view. One of the best motels at highway 101. We stayed there one night and paid about 65 $.

We have been staying at the Ya'tel every year, at least twice a year, for the past 10 years.
Dennis, the owner, is very warm and welcoming. The rooms and studios are always perfectly clean and decorative. We enjoy the good beds and interior design of each place. The colorful fish tiles, photographs and prints, make the Ya'tel a very special place. There are flowers planted outside the building, the rooms are freshly painted and the upkeep is fastidious. It is only 2 blocks from the ocean, just one block from a lovely forested area and pond. We are able to park our car and let it sit for most of our stay since the restaurants and grocery store are just a few blocks away.
Yachats is a quiet, lovely village. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at the affordable Ya'tel motel. We enjoy the Drift Inn restaurant.

Room Tip: Oops- clicked on pool by mistake - there is no pool. we have stayed in rooms 1, 3, 6 and 8. 3 and 6...

It was just one night stay, we arrived to Yachats with friends very late evening and were looking for some accomodation. Local people recomended us this motel and it was a good advice. Next to the main road, with all necessary facilities, only internet was very slow and unreliable. But it is just minor con. Generally we were really satisfied.

We stay at the Ya'Tel when we do the craft show in Yachats. It's a nice little family owned and run place. Each of the 9 rooms has it's own theme. Dennis is always out there making improvements. He's done a great deal over the years that we've been staying there. A few small things could be better - the couch/pull out bed is uncomfortable, but overall, it has everything you need and then some. I'm sure, as time permits, these little things will be taken care of as well. The rooms are always clean and we're always made to feel welcome like family. View of the ocean from some rooms and from out front. Some rooms have kitchens. Welcoming and inviting. Good value for the money.

Room Tip: Room 9 has a nice big window facing the ocean and a separate bedroom. #1 is a good choice for family...

We went to the coast for xmas with family visiting from out of State. We were supposed to stay at a friends vacation house in Yachats but decided not too. So we were looking for a place last min. and fortunately found this little gem. Bob who I think is the owner was very friendly and helpful he seemed to be some what full and had to do some juggeling around of rooms. We had 2 rooms #7 which was a nice rm. w/ 1 Qn bed, and first night we had #6 1 Qn bed in seperate rm. and Qn. sofa sleeper in main rm. w/ Kit. and because he was full we moved to #4 for the other two nights w/ 2 Qns. and Kit. all the rooms were comfortable and slept well, the kitchen was very well stocked with pretty much anything you could want. If it didn't have it just ask and he will get it. Asked for DVD player which did not charge extra for. They only have showers which was fine with us, and the towels were nice. The only criticism I have and its a small one. I would still stay here again and recommend this place. While the rooms for the most part were quite clean the blinds were very dirty and need to be cleaned. In the first rm. #7 after seeing how dirty the blinds were I ran my finger along the head board of the bed and it had dust on it. I did not bother to do this all over or in the other room we stayed in two nights. Did not see the point I already knew that it wasn't spotless they have a card in the room saying something about rooms being ultra clean? So we had 2 rooms for three nights and a pleasant stay.

I took my son on a road trip to see the Sealion Caves. We were looking for a decent mom & pop hotel for the night. This place was perfect! The rooms were all themed differently, and we got the nautical room. It had two queen beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and was very clean and comfortable.
We were greeted by Dennis and Gidget (Gidget is the sweet family dog.) He made us feel welcomed, and was very pleasant. Along with coffee and tea, there was even a package of microwave popcorn.
The linens on the beds were clean and nice, and the towels in the bathroom were big, soft, and fluffy.
There is a laundry room and a BBQ available for use. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is conveniently located on HWY 101.

Yachats is called the gem of the oregon coast and this little motel is the gem of Yachats. the rooms are spotlessly cleaned, great beds, and very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. Every room has microwave, fridges, coffee, toaster, even real dishes so we could eat leftover, or just have cereal for breakfast. The owners obviously have been on vacation with all their kids before and know how spending all the meals out can be. We had room 1, the family room, with 3 queen beds and a kitchen almost as big as mine at home. It was an amazing vacation. Thank you Yatel Motel.
