Got south of Canyonville, OR, on the way to Gold Beach, and decided to take the next vacancy we came to. Wow, what a stroke of luck seeing the Wolf Creek Inn exit sign. Arrived minutes after hours, but staff was accommodating, got a great room. Really, there are no bad rooms. rustic, tranquil, the 120 year old fruit trees are amazing. The breakfast was perfect. We decided we have to go back, when we can spend at least two or three days. amazing staff.

Room Tip: There are no 'bad' rooms, although a couple are a little more exquisite.

This past Sun. night we stopped at The Wolf Creek Inn for an overnight stay in the Mary Pickford room. We had a room on the second floor which was nice but the bed was very small. There are no TV's or phones in the room but there is complimentary wi-fi which was a bit slow in the rooms. The bathrooms are very small, ours had a small sink and a bathtub/shower combination.

The Inn is very well preserved and is the oldest hotel in the Pacific Northwest. Breakfast is included with the room and there are a variety of great menu items to choose from. I had the German Pancakes which were delicious and the service was very good.

Our room was $105/night which is a terrific value for a Historic Inn in high tourist season. There were a couple of wasps in our room and when the front desk was notified, the pest control was there in just a few minutes to check it out. We will definitely stay here again but next time will book a suite or a room with a Queen bed. :)

I stayed here with my son for one night while traveling to U of Oregon. I pre-planned our visit using Tripadvisor and a friends recommendation. What an amazing Inn! If you like history and enjoy staying in the middle of it, this is the place. The family that operates the Inn are informative and friendly and you can't say enough good things about the food. There was wonderful live music on the patio and most folks ate outside. The rooms are decorated with antiques and with no television you get the full experience of a traveler from days long gone,( with a bathroom of your own).
WARNING>>When you stay on the first floor and there are people in the room above you, the creaking floor boards and doors opening and closing are very loud. In our case they went to bed by 10:30, so while there was a period of time I thought they might fall through the floor, I fell asleep and had plenty of it and was up before them. For us it was a part of the experience, but if you expect modern insulation, don't! This is an old historic building and that's the charm of it!. You can freely wander the building and look in the rooms that are not occupied. Jack London's room and a few others are loaded with history, like mini-museums and are open for your viewing and learning pleasure. If you don't plan to stay, please stop in and support the efforts of the family that have put their hearts and hard work into maintaining the history and ambiance of this delightful stage coach stop and piece of American history.

Traveling south from Seattle, and having seen the positive reviews here, we reserved the Clark Gable / Carole Lombard room for a night. (They spent a number of weekends there after they were married, and - ahem - possibly before.) The old wooden inn has a real sense of history about it, and the room furnishings continue the effect. You need to be tolerant of older bathroom fixtures and that sort of thing, but it was not a major problem. A couple of things to be aware of; the manager who checked us in was too busy to mention this, but a night's lodging includes breakfast at the restaurant downstairs; and also the place has a modern heating and A/C system. We sweltered for a couple of hours before I fiddled with the wall thermostat and found it worked quite well. P.S. The restaurant on the ground floor has a kind of monopoly in this small town, but no problem; it's quite good.

Room Tip: The Gable Room is the largest, but they are all similarly furnished so far as I could tell. Given th...

Wolf Creek Inn was a great place for us. We came in too late for dinner, but the staff was very helpful in helping us find some provisions. The breakfast was excellent, with varied choices, tasty food, and reasonable portions. The room featured wood floors (good for bringing the bikes in), a modern bathroom (it is an historic inn), and comfortable beds.

Room Tip: Talk with the staff to find the room that is best for you. We were bringing our bikes in, and they g...

We stayed in the Clark Gable suite at the Wolf Creek Inn for one night. The room was huge with lots of space and a comfortable queen bed. We were very happy with the accommodations.

We also ate lunch and breakfast at the inn - and it was outstanding! Keep in mind that breakfast is included in the room rate, and you can order whatever you want off the menu. Awesome!

The short hop off the freeway put you in another world - quiet and homey.

The only issue we had was with the internet. This is one of those places that keeps the login code secret. We had arrived before the room was clean (the honeymoon couple before us checked out late), so we stashed our bags in the room and left for the day. Upon our return the staff was gone, so we were unable to find out what the login code was.

Room Tip: The suite is worth the price!

Just needed a place to stay for one night. Found it on the Oregon tourism site for this area and exchanged a few emails for a reservation. Showed up, name was there, and got upgraded to the one and only Clark Gable suite!!! Got a tour of the place from the inn keeper and vastly enjoyed our one night stay. Would go back again if I was in the area. The hot breakfast included was anything on the menu. Everyone was so warm and welcoming.

Room Tip: Rooms are all stated on their website. Got to see all the other rooms because the Inn is open from...
