Got bedbugs and they charge for the "good" internet. I know these can be anywhere but this hotel really was bad. The management tried to react. I'd rather they have prevented the problem. I have felt filthy since then.

Ms. Hay,

First and foremost I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. We strive to provide excellent customer service and a great product for our guests. I spoke with you about your concern regarding bed buds in your room and expressed my sincerest surprise that you encountered this at our hotel. I have been the General Manger here for over 5 years and we have not had any confirmed cases of bed bugs to date. I do take these kinds of concerns very seriously and in your case have done due diligence regarding the situation. I contacted our extermination company (Terminix) who conducted their own inspection of your guestroom. They confirmed that the room is clean and does not posses or has it ever possessed any bud bugs. A copy of this report has been sent to Holiday Inn Corporate as requested by your formal complaint.

As for our internet services we offer "Free' internet access to everyone at a speed of (768x512). This speed allows the average user to check email, Google search, MapQuest, You Tube, etc.... However for those users that need additional or higher speed bandwidth the hotel invested over 70 thousand dollars this year to be able to provide users with upgraded bandwidth as needed? Last year our guest and customers did not have this option and we did not have enough bandwidth to accommodate the heavy user, especially during times of high occupancy. The additional bandwidth does come with some additional charges but in comparison to what you would pay in downtown Portland but at only half the cost. We feel our ability to now offer this service to our guests at a reduced cost from other major branded hotel is of real value.

Ms. Hay we hope that you give us another opportunity to serve you when back in the Wilsonville area. Our owners and management are committed to providing an excellent product with exceptional service. The hotel has now completed its hotel restaurant renovations and re-concepted the restaurant to "BooneTown Bistro and Bar". With this additional capital expense invested we can ensure our guests a clean and renovated hotel with a superior food and beverage product right on site.

Thank you,

Jeff Brown
General Manager

stayed at hotel for three days. At check-in, mentioned to David at front desk that I was in need of coffee, he ran over to the self-self fresh grind kisok, made me a coffee, and put the "sleeve on it to make sure I wouldn't get burnt. What an amazing way to start my stay!
While it is an older hotel, the rooms had been renovated. The beds, were comfy-they offer soft and hard pillows, along with a pillow "menu" you can order from if you need a specialized pillow. Bathroom size was ample, flat-screen tv; a fridge in the room plus coffe maker etc. All a person needed to enjoy a stay.
It was the thoughfulness that would bring me back again. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your review. We love when our guests have amazing stays! We appreciate you acknowledging the friendly staff. We are in the process of renovating the restaurant. Part of the renovation is upgrading the breakfast buffet. It will be even better then before. Thanks for staying with us and we hope to see you in the near future.

My wife and I had a quiet and restful on-night stay at the Holiday Inn Portland South in Wilsonville. This is an older hotel with updated rooms. However, the overall facility looks dated, particularly the exterior. Overall this hotel is ok for a one night stay, and had has easy access to I-5. The staff was friendly.

The room rate was reasonable. The rooms are good size, but the décor is gray and dark. Nice flat screen LCD TV with many channels to choose from, and acceptable Wi-Fi reception in the room. The king bed in our room was comfortable and had nice linens. The climate controls did not seem to work very well, as the room seemed cold to us. The room was reasonably clean. The bathroom was ok, but the tub was old and worn.

We had the breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant. The food was standard breakfast buffet fair. We were all but ignored by the restaurant staff, which did not check if we needed more coffee or anything else. We noticed that the upholstery in several of the booths had rips and was in need of replacement.

Overall a nice hotel, but a few things need updating that would bring this to a four. First, the good:
Comfortable bed
Nice TV
Friendly staff
Good sized room
Excellent water pressure

The bad:
Noisy, could hear every door close in the area, not good for sleeping
Bathroom shower curtain torn and tattered, not a big deal, but shows lack of attention to detail and a simple detail at that, which reflects on the overall performance.
Overall look and feel of premises (carpets, hallways, hotel exterior) outdated and in need of an update.

The pool is open until 11p, breakfast is served until noon and checkout is at noon. This is great for us since we like to stay up late and sleep in the next morning. We were able to sleep in and have a good breakfast without hurrying. The room was as expected, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was typical but food ordered from the kitchen was awesome. The staff in the restaurant seemed confused. None of 4 or 5 wait staff that come to our table seemed to know what was going on. But, the great food from the kitchen made me happy. The free Wi-fi is great too.

First of all, thank you for staying with us and for continuing to stay with us when you are in Portland! I appreciate the compliments on our facilities and general service. I apologize for not receiving excellent service in the restaurant. This is a training issue for the restaurant staff. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. We are currently in the midst of training and hiring new staff and hope to have this fined tuned in the very near furture! I will personally ensure that this issue is addressed with our team.We are very pleased that you enjoyed our food from the kitchen. And are very happy to announce that the buffet will soon be fully renovated and will include exciting and new signiture items to break the mold of the typical buffet breakfast! I hope the next time you are in the area you will join us again!

I stayed at this property for a conference and while the staff was friendly and courteous, I was disappointed with several aspects of the hotel. This is an old property, and despite the makeover, it shows. While my room was quiet and comfortable, the lamps were torn, there were cigarette holes in the curtains, and there were cobwebs in the ceiling corners. The bathroom was nice and large and they supplied a coffee and tea service. It was clean, but the tub was worn and small. There is a pillow menu if you wished to order different pillow types. The worst part was the room was ice cold when we arrived (again, probably to save energy), but even with the heat turned to 76, I could not get the room warmed up and the bed was cold. Not pleasant at all on a cold February night. I believe the heating system has an energy restricter on it, because as high as i could turn the thermostat, it didn't seem to produce more heat. The restaurant leaves much to be desired, although our waiter was courteous, they never checked on us and twice we had to go into the kitchen to find some help for our party. We were greeted with indifference when we arrived for dinner. The conference facilities are fine, although round tables for a conference are difficult for those who have their backs to the presentation stage. Long tables would make better sense and be more practical. The new hotel decor is grays and earth tones, and while it tries to be more upscale (and is better than it used to be), the lighting overall in the hotel is poor -possibly to be more energy efficient. The effect is that, at least at night, the place seems dull and dingy, and certainly not warm and welcoming. I'm generally pleased with Holiday Inns, but this one rates a modest review and we doubt we'd stay here again with other options in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has had the heat on recently or you'll spend over an hour getting the room u...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We are pleased that you find our staff friendly and helpful. We do our utmost to provide excellent service and an optimized stay for all our guests. Therefore we are delighted to hear that you experienced this as such during part of your stay. However, please accept our sincere apology for the shortcomings that you also experienced during this trip. You, our guest, are our number one priority and deserve to be treated with undivided attention and courtesy throughout our hotel and facilities. The fact that you had to get up to find help during your meal in the restaurant is disappointing and unacceptable. It has been addressed, and we are taking the necessary steps to correct this. We are on the cusp of a remodel in the restaurant as well as total retraining of all of our servers. We appreciate you letting us know about your concerns as this helps us understand areas we can improve upon. While we understand that your stay was not 100% satisfactory, we would hope that you would give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.
