Used to be my favorite place!!!!
Casino gone and new location isnt much fun 20 min away.
Dirty carpet
room not ready
Prices in chinook room have sky rocketed
Pay for towels?
No microwave
a/c not functioning at normal capacity
shuttle to casino only runs on weekends???? Umm ok
all fun activities and live entertainment appear to have vanished
Not esthetically pleasing anymore
all kinds of cheap rates to compensate for the place now being a gutter so called resort...

We were looking for something to do in Central Oregon and the kids wanted to check out the waterslides and pool. After an hours drive from Crooked River Ranch, we finally found this beautifully hidden gem.

Well worth the price of admission. The warm mineral hot springs pool was so amazing! The kids and I did not want to leave. Enjoyed it all afternoon and well into the evening. Yes it was a bit packed but since my kids are great swimmers we were able to stay in the deep end without bumping into too many people.

We will certainly return and hopefully to camp a few nights too.

We went to Kahneeta last summer and it was wonderful. We went the last three days( August 19-21,2012) and I don't think I will ever return. We booked 8 rooms, because 29 family memeber went, and everyone of us had a terrible experience.
1. Our room were not ready on time
2. At the big pool they tried to charge us 2 dollars a towel
3. The manager of the restaurant was horrible, totally rude to her staff and all the customers!! She belittled our wonderful waitress,Rose, to the entire restaurant. I have never seen such a thing! Her name was Susan, and should totally be fired!! Not only did 29 of us have a terrible restaurant experience with Susan but so did every guest that I spoke with, that ate at the restaurant!!
4. There was no buffet, every night, like there was last year
5. They got rid of there salmon bake, they now only have it on Saturdays.
6. They got rid of their casino
7. The shuttle to the casino only runs Friday and Saturday
8. The elevators didn't work
9. Some of our rooms never got cleaned on the day we stayed
10. Our pool was out of service, because they didn't have staff to clean it
11. No pool towels at the Lodge hotel, when it was open
All and all the hotel has new management and they have ran it down. Our shuttle drivers were great,Marjorie and Jon, they were very very nice, and Rose in the restaurant was wonderful
12. AC didn't work in our living room
13. Food is very spendy,

Room Tip: we booked online when they were having a special deal,if not its very expensive, bring lots of snacks...

My wife and I won a nights stay at the resort and ended up paying for an additional night to make a weekend of it. We have been to Kah-Nee-Ta for different occasions for several years and always found it a decent experience. The place is really starting to show its age and there seems to be a lack of care for the most basic general maintenance - bathroom wall paper peeling off and water damage from shower, stained carpet, balcony littered with cigarette butts. Exterior carpet worn, peeling paint in various locations, walls scuffed and dirty at hotel entrance. We did play golf one morning and was a great experience. Kids and adults making noise in pool well after pool closing hours. Noisy late night neighbors to the point of getting out of bed, going over and asking them to quite down. We ate at the Appaloosa after golf burger and sandwich. Good pub fare but staff could have used some additional help as bartender and one wait person were serving the pool and bar area. Kudos to the bartender for keeping his cool under pressure! Went to the Cottonwood restaurant at the casino one evening for dinner - what a mistake. Poor buffet selection ($19) and terrible steak (New York - $23). Pub food at Appaloosa would have been a better choice. Service very poor with exception of hostess - quick to seat and serve. Won't be going back until things improve out there!

Arrived at the lodge on Aug 13th to 103 degree heat. Much drier and bearable than in Willamette Valley (home). We were given a roo with a beautiful view and was quite large. (Two King standard room). After checking in early (with no problem doing so), we hit the lodge grounds, then the village to check everything out. What a gorgeous place! after a couple of hours, we returned to a very warm room. Air cond. was not working. Contacted front desk, and within five min, maintenance man was there and had us nice and cool within minutes. Awesome! Overall, the accommodations were very nice, but the customer service is what gets a rating that is off the charts!!! Not just at the resort, but the restaurants, the store in Warm Springs, the gas station, EVERYWHERE!!! The service was the best we have experienced on any trip that I can remeber. Pool was very busy, but big enough for everyone. Hated to leave after four days. Kiids (aged 16 and 22) loved it there. We really felt welcomed and will definitely go back. If you are looking at truly relaxing and enjoying God's country, Warm Springs/Kah-nee-ta has it. Loved the wildlife...especially the free-roaming horses throughout the reservation. To any of you at the resort reading this..THANK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES for the memorable trip!!!! (Suing Family...Aug 13-16)

You just gotta know it's older! The rooms are huge with comfy beds, the carpets are stained but clean, the bathrooms are blah, but clean and it gets so friggen hot in the Desert that even with the air on it's warmish in the rooms. But the people there are super super nice. Service is slow, it's like island time but that's sorta the point of this place. There's nothing to do but gaze, walk, hike, swim (none of these things are high paced right?) as you're in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing else but village/hotel food to eat and no stores for 5ish miles so plan accordingly. Plan to eat FRY BREAD. At least two servings a day. The hotel pool serves drinks poolside in the warm sun and you can hang out on you're floatie in the pool. AWESOME! It gets very full full on the weekends because people love it! The villiage pool is huge, it has a shallow area for really small kids, another shallow area to maybe 3 feet with a small slide for the 2-4 crowd separated from the pool with the big slides by a wall. The deep end doesn't allow floaties. As with any pool you should plan to be the person making sure your kids don't drown...And the pool at the villiage is warm because it's a WARM SPRINGS! We love this place. It's the perfect place to come with kids or friends to swim and play and hangout.
