My husband, our two boys (6yrs &16mos) and I stayed here 7/28/12. Being a two star "resort" i thought id give it a shot considering it was on average $50 less than the others in the area.

I wouldn't consider this a resort but It was CLEAN, the staff was very FRIENDLY, the (who i assume were the owners) were welcoming. The pool was nice and warm! The beds were clean and comfy!

We didnt have a view of the Alsea Bay Bridge but thats ok- we can walk outside and see it all! Its very close to the beach and a short, scenic drive to Newport.

So if your just looking for somewhere to stay at a good rate, this is it! I would stay here again.

Overall a great experience, and for the record i'm pretty picky.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the Bay I would request it in advance.

We ended up here as we could not find any other hotel. It is located off the highway and near the ocean. The outside looks very grand. It advertises yoga classes upon entering and its a good thing! The beds were horrible! They are like sleeping in a clam shell. The box springs sit on the floor and the mattress is sagged out. There were also long , dark hairs in the towels! They are friendly enough but need to work on their accommodations.

This is the second review i have written since it looks like my other one got pulled for some reason. This place was bad and please believe the other bad reviews on this website. I have to believe the other glowing reviews are planted. I experienced the same issues as some of the other poor reviews. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and when i walked into the room after checking in it looked like they had pulled one bed out and the room only had 1 bed. Kids were screaming in the room across the hall and it was loud!! My wife and i had only been in the room a few minutes when we decided to leave and walked back down to the desk and turned our keys in and left. The hotel refused to give a full refund and we had to fight to get 30 dollars even though they didnt give us the room we reserved in the first place. Take my advice and go down the road to someplace else.

This resort is magnificent. Itoffers quiet, peaceful serenity right on the Bayfront & bridge. Many harbor seal frequent the beaches. The Rumi Restaurant is defitietely 5-Star with excellent service, quality meals, beautiful presentation and reasonable prices.
They also offer RUMI YOGA which is the best style of Yoga I have ever tried...now I am addicted and go to all the classes....(yes, I am a local!).
You've got to try this place!

Room Tip: Ask for water/bridge view.

It's the beginning of the summer at the Oregon Coast and getting away from the valley heat to play a coed softball tournament at the coast is our idea of FUN! Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly, professional and efficient staff. Heated pool, excellent food and drinks. Stayed two nights and had a bonfire on the beach. Highly recommend this hotel for all! It's a hidden gem!

Pros: good location, nice views, reasonable prices, comfortable and clean
Cons: small room for 2 queen beds, no microwave or fridge, do not clean rooms unless you hang a 'clean my room' card

Overall a great stay and Waldport is a nice little town, fireworks view from the hotel over the river on July 3 was great
