“A nice place to go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

I have been here for the regular dining menu in the dining room, and for the happy hour menu which is served only in the bar area. Both are great.

You can check out the Happy Hour hours and menu on their website under menus. The bar is very small....probably holds about 20 max. So since it is so beautiful outside by the river most choose to sit there. Word of warning: IF it looks like it could rain you might opt for inside, as rain can come up suddenly and then its like musical chairs with 40 people going around but when the music stops only half have chairs! You cant just all run into the dining area either, it rains often enough and that would be too disruptive to the diners in there.

If you are going to end up eating several plates at $4 or $5 each, maybe just going to the dining room would be worth it. They bring a little loaf of bread and its a nicer room to be in.
If you just want a smaller bite and a drink the bar is fine too, but you have to read the hours of happy hour on the website! Varies by day.

There are gardens on the west side (side toward Portland). They sometimes have weddings there. Sometimes I get some good flower pictures there too! Nice to walk around there before or after eating.

It has a good feel and you feel like your way of of town, go check it out!

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

We had an out of town guest and wanted to have a very nice dinner out with other mutual friends. The seven of us were seated outside, on the patio which is a lovely setting by the Sandy River. The table looked attacked as settings apparently had been scavenged for other tables. That was not addressed until utensils were needed much later in the evening. We ordered and waited 90 minutes for our meals. The vegan in our group had no options except salad, the waiter admitted that they really do not have much for folk who don't eat meat or would prefer something other than pasta with a heavy cream sauce. The menu online appeared to offer options that would be acceptable but the waiter admitted that they didn't really have much to offer. Coffee refills had to be requested. When the check came, a 20% gratuity had been added: 20% was too much for the evening/food we experienced. At least we did have a long time to sit and visit but it was too cold outside for some in the group by the time our meal was served.

“Beautiful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We had our 46th wedding anniversary dinner on the deck of the Riverview restaurant and had a very good meal, and excellent service! We have, in the past, been a little disapointed in the food, and service, but the setting doesn't get much better, THIS time, however, both the food and service were great, AND the setting is STILL fantastic!

“Very nice meal and setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Shared a table with five others during a casual business dinner and enjoyed the great environment and wonderful service at the Riverview Restaurant. Very nice location on the Sandy River with towering "Doug firs" all around you as you look over the wilderness through a huge A-frame window. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced. Our server was great and we were one of 6-7 tables she had that evening; how she kept up with it all is beyond me, but she stole the show with her great demeanor and professional approach to making sure we had a great experience. The ultimate question is always, "would you go back?"...and in this case, the answer is a strong "yes".

“Treat Yourself”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

Wish I lived closer as the meals are if you cooked them yourself but with the wonderful view of the river valley. Our first stop there our server Terri was NOT on her game but we came for the view & the wonderful dishes & both delivered! So we headed back a week later & our server Tuesday was excellent & our meals were both pleasing to our sight & more importantly to our palate. Will keep bring friends here as it is as if you have the whole location to yourself,...a wonderful place to entertain friends.
